So why would your lamb have a keloid scar? Genuinely curious :0
OHHHHHH MY GOODNESSS!!!! OK OK 1) THANK YOU FOR ASKINGG and 2) Sorry this is such a late reply, been busy.
Anywho, my lamb has a keloid scar because I think it would just make sense healing wise- but let me elaborate.
CW talk about scarring + some imagery (just drawings)
Keloids are a bunch of extra skin tissue that has formed to close a scar. Don’t ask me the science behind it, I am only speaking from my own experience (wildly enough, I also have a keloid on my neck lol). An axe to the neck wouldn’t be just one quick swipe, so it wouldn’t be a clean cut. To me, it would only make sense that it would take a lot of extra skin tissue to heal a wound like the lamb’s, considering the manner in which it happened.
In my au (named Hearts to Keep btw), the only way that TOWW was able to put the lamb back together was by making their body form that extra tissue on their neck.
When they were first resurrected, it looked a lot more red because still kind of in that “healing process”. They didn’t cover it at first because 1) a lot of fabrics just feel uncomfortable near/on it, and 2) they just didn’t feel like it 🤷♂️ This led to a lot of their cult members being taken aback VERY frequently:
More rambling + drawings ⬇️ so i don’t take up ppl’s screens
And more often than not, they would constantly forget the basic courtesy of not touching strangers (again, taken from my experience).
Which, of course, annoyed them very much. This makes them look for solutions, leading them to the conclusion that it would be better to cover it; mainly due to the fact that cultists don’t know what personal space is when it comes to them, yes, but it’s also because it bothers them that it’s so exposed in battle and to fabrics/their wool. Sensory issues basically.
Much to their avail, they can’t find anything that feels even the slightest bit comfortable around that area. And so, they decide to bring up this problem to none other but the one who started it.
He doesn’t really know what they would like for him to do. They both go back and forth, half arguing, half trying to understand eachother. Eventually, it is brought to their attention that ICHOR is very useful and versatile! And what is ichor? The blood of a god. And who is in the room with us right now? A god.
TADAAA!!! Lamb gets their very own little neck cover + their bell! Surprisingly, ichor makes for very good fabric.
Of course, this doesn’t erase all the experiences that come with having a keloid, but it takes unwanted attention/touching away from them.
HOWEVER!!! The keloid also ties to their emotions- in more ways than one- but, maybe that will be for another post 😋
Let me know if there are any more questions, cotl au related or just keloid related. Goodnight, and thank you for coming to my TedTalk 🫶🏼
MORDIAS!!!!! FINALLY I GET TO DO THE MORDIAS POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GODBLESS
I've been DYING to answer this, but my motivation to draw her hasn't been as good as my motivation to write about her lol,, I'll do my best (I started writing this a while agoooo LMAO I have absolutely been motivated to draw her recently, but I don't have anything for this right now)
To reiterate, Mordias came across the Lamb shortly after her father was murdered for being part of a rebellion group. She ran off on her own, and eventually came across another group that had actually formed some sort of a community of their own.
On the outside, she could absolutely tell they were very charming; I like to think that they would walk around old villages trying to recruit people, at least in the earlier days when they were barely getting the hand of crusading. However, what caught her attention over time was how undeniably whole they were. They were keenly aware that they were a live being, with flaws, emotions, sensations, and a brain. They were always leaning into it, rather than running away at the very idea that something could go wrong. Eventually, the Lamb and her made for an impossible duo, always bouncing ideas off of each other and building up; being prepared to take on anything when it came. They never really get married, because they see marriage as more of a political/power thing (which is also relevant to Narinder at some point). Their relationship is political in some aspects, especially since they manage the cult together as partners, but if its simply labeled that way then it doesn't really take into account their mutual choice to be vulnerable?? They're just happy that they don't have to guess whether anything is mutual I guess. Hopefully I captured the gist of whatever they've got going on at this point.
However, a noticeable strain in their relationship was brought to light when the Lamb chose to spare Narinder's life, and even take him into the cult they built together. The very cult that stood against every ideal that the older gods had established.
It was fine for a while I guess, but it just got messier after it became very obvious to Mordias that the lamb was willingly shoving certain conversations aside and deciding to not be vulnerable with their followers, witnesses, even Narinder, and ESPECIALLY her. This sapphic situationship stuff gets real y'all.
Hello, have you gushed over your hcs of miserable Narinder somewhere yet? Because.. do you mind doing it again? I think I am intrigued
First off, anon, thank you very much for asking this. Second, it’s more precisely an AU, but a hc works too!
Keep in mind this is a very recent idea for me, so I only have the gist of it.
That being said, you have opened pandora’s box:
This AU starts off with Lamb meeting TOWW (Narinder) while they are very much opposites. Lamb yearns for community and a simple pleasant life, TOWW is still a power hungry god and pretty much hell bent on revenge. However, they both see the common ground they have: the Bishops and their feelings towards them. Lamb hesitantly agrees to start the cult in his name, they find Narinder’s idea of revenge slightly intriguing, but they do not really have a big picture in mind.
Lamb is the first to try and initiate some sort of community with Narinder, especially during the times that gaining new followers was very new to them. Narinder was a familiar face, and they very honestly felt some pity for him; not having been able to step outside for such a long time and all that. They would often die on purpose in order to pay a visit, hopefully start some kind of conversation.
At first, the frequent visits confused him very much and, at times, annoyed him. Getting his revenge was the only goal in his mind, and he wanted it quickly. BUT! I imagine (no, I KNOW) being isolated (even with Aym and Baal) for as long as Narinder was, he got very bored. So, after a couple visits, and some temptations, he began to feel more curious than inconvenienced. Lamb would often bring him things from the mortal world that they think would interest him, or that he should get to know. Eventually, some form of story time became a tradition. Lamb would come to his domain and tell him a story, wether it was an event that happened that day (gossip lol) or even a folk tale of some sort. It was, in a way, ridiculous to him. But he did find them “enriching” at times.
Over time, he grew very fond of Lamb and their visits. He found that it was his way of connecting with the world after such a long time, that’s what a vessel is for, after all. And, with the growing of the cult, they would describe to him how beautifully it was coming along. They would tell him about the gleaming orchards, luminescent nights, bountiful farms, delicious food, and gorgeous architecture. But what he found a lot of interest in was hearing about how the followers were also growing. He got to hear about cultists finding each other, getting to know one another, forming bonds, friendships, falling in love, getting married, forming lives together. Narinder got to hear about community, something he had been deprived of for such a long time. Eventually, the idea of getting revenge as soon as he was set free wasn’t the most intriguing idea anymore. He began to understand and know the feeling that the lamb described as no other than yearning. He yearned for gleaming orchards, the luminescent nights, the bountiful farms, the delicious food, and the gorgeous architecture. He yearned for community. But the horrid realization he had to come to terms with was the fact that he yearned to have this all with the lamb. He wanted to experience it all with no one other than the one who took it upon themselves to bring these ideas to him (the guy would daydream for fucks sake like oh my god get a grip you are in the trenches dude they’re gonna have to die for you to be fully free wth are you doing,, anyway). He yearned for this feeling to be returned, and it made him miserable.
Yes, the lamb enjoyed Narinder’s company- yes, they enjoyed the community the cult offered- but, they had had a growing change in perspective. The amount of control the crown offered was interesting. They could destroy the other gods, the problem, easily. With the power they had been given, they didn’t need to fear. There wasn’t a need to yearn when they could just get what they want at their own will. They began to see a much bigger picture.
The time for the final sacrifice grew nearer- BUT SURPRISE! Even with impending freedom, Narinder was more miserable than ever. He came to terms with the fact he wanted the lamb to be at his side, or well, he wanted to be at THEIR side. However, there was the dilemma of the final sacrifice that was needed. And who could ever want to be with someone who needed them to die? He had no clue what to do but stall, which could only last so long.
Reluctantly, he finally informed Lamb of what needed to be done, they refused (obviously dude). They fought. Neither could really understand what it was the other was fighting for. They couldn’t understand how 2 sides of the same coin could tumble from side to side so much.
Narinder was usurped. Lamb claimed victory. Both of them were in shock, because neither had REALLY imagined this. No one knew what to do next. The lamb expected at least some anger from Narinder’s part, some form of resistance, but they absolutely did not expect him to plead.
Even he couldn’t understand why he was on his knees, gripping at their cape. All he could really understand and know was the feeling, and it was more overwhelming now, more than ever. He yearned for a life. He pleaded for mercy, for a chance. And, the worst of it all, is that the lamb understood the tears in his eyes and the begging of his words, and Narinder the stoic expression on their face and the confusion in their silence.
Lamb allowed him to stay, but had no idea what to do with him. So, they locked him (not literally) in a hut; which he pretty willingly stayed in (in an effort to ease tensions). They try to avoid him as much as they can, but he keeps clinging onto the dreams they passed down to him.
Anyways yea that’s it lol, like i said pretty simple and vague as of right now 🫶🏼 some stuff might change idk
Hi! It’s really funny that you ask this because I have a whole section in my lore doc dedicated to how a good amount of the characters will translate into the AU. Here’s some screenshots:
Most of them are blank because burnout hit 😔 (I also didn’t include the characterization part because that’s my eyes only). I haven’t touched the google doc since. I think this and the “Translation of Key Events” were the only sections I didn’t really expand on. HOWEVER!!! Aym and Baal do exist, I had some ideas on how exactly; like Aym and Baal being sacrificed because of the reputation Narinder gave black cats,,,, but I think I want to re-write that. At least a little.
Your oc lore sounds fucked up. Tell me more about that and worshipping issue i'd love 2 know
YEAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSBSBHDHDH sorry I am so deprived 🛐🛐🛐
No they don’t have a name yet, someone give me ideas, there’s another drawing (with both of them) here. The one with red hair is named Genevive (it’s spelt like that because i’m unique and cool obv)
Ok so basically:
They exist in a world where there is 1 main god, which is constantly referred to as “Him” “He” “The Creator”.
The one with black hair (this is her human form) is the god of the ocean.
The one with red hair is a general, who is the predecessor from a line of other generals. These generals are tasked to lead the army of this city in order to protect it (among other mundane things, like community service). It’s kind of like “passing the torch” in a way.
Everyone is raised to worship the god who created everything (wether out of fear or love). He has a major ego, is very picky, and passive aggressive (or sometimes downright aggressive in a very messed up way).
In a summary: Genevive is not super up for worshipping Him. She is pretty fond of the ocean, so yknow..
One day Genevive actually gets to meet the god of the ocean by surprise. And so, long story short: She will do anything and everything to make them happy. The god themselves knows it’s pretty messed up and against the rules, but sometimes they can’t help but entertain the idea.
They grow close and learn to love each other in a much more healthy way than I previously mentioned. However, He has taken notice of their relationship, and sees it as “worshipping” (kind of late to the party lmao). He is VERY pissed, and decides to try and negotiate with (manipulate) both of them. The god of the ocean is much more lenient, and agrees to try and avoid Genevive in an effort to protect her. BUT Genevive isn’t guying His bs, she basically tells Him to go screw Himself.
There are 2 scenarios I have in mind in which He takes His “revenge”
1) He leads her into a cave and slowly makes her lose her mind until she passes away
2) He finds her in the battlefield and kills her
But in both, He wouldn’t only be killing her, He would be ripping her soul away so she wouldn’t even be able to pass onto the afterlife. Keeping her trapped in His domain. He also chains the god of the ocean to keep them under His watch.
Either way, the other god finds out, and feels extremely guilty, blaming themselves for leading Genevive to her downfall. They hold a lot of anger towards Him, but they can’t do much since they’re chained, so their power is very limited. They can leave the ocean, but only in their human form, which also has very limited power.
I still can’t decide if that’s where I want it to end. But I had the idea that a hundred years later or so, some other mortal finds the god of the ocean and makes a deal with them in light of their common ground: getting revenge on the god of creation.
A funny fact actually, I was very much obsessed with these 2 and their story before getting into cotl, I think I’m seeing a pattern here. Anyway, love my lesbians. AND THANK YOU SM FOR ASKING I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR SO LONG FOR SOMEONE TO ASK!!! Sorry I kinda gave you the whole plot there, but it was sort of needed for context and yadada
