Askari Metals Phase I Exploration Targets Polymetallic Potential
The current Askari Metals Phase I Exploration program includes geological mapping, rock chip sampling and an extensive licence-wide geochemical soil sampling campaign. These activities are designed to improve the geological understanding of EPL 7626 and identify areas displaying signatures that may be associated with buried lithium-caesium-tantalum pegmatites.
Soil geochemistry forms a major component of the exploration strategy. Askari has established a 400-metre by 40-metre sampling grid across the licence, with 4,258 soil samples planned. The orientation of the grid has been designed to intersect the regional geological trend and improve the company's ability to identify anomalies that could warrant more detailed investigation.
The systematic nature of the program is particularly relevant to the Askari Metals Uis Project because surface cover can make concealed pegmatites more difficult to recognise through traditional field observation alone. By combining geochemical data with mapping and rock chip sampling, the company aims to create a stronger technical foundation for target selection.
