In the middle of the desert, far away from the home she’s unable to claim as her own, surrounded by those who now only look upon her with scorn, Dany feels more lost and alone than ever.
He has heard what happened – the dragons dead, half of her khalasar, too, the last of the Targaryens escaping barely with her life—and he comes to her as quick as he can, hoping he won’t be too late.
When she sees him riding toward her, the desert sun glaring down upon him, she is certain he’s a mirage, but then he gets closer and she knows he has returned to her—consequences and the past be damned--and she says aloud, still unable to quite believe it, “My bear.”

But his gods are not hers and she keeps at it, starting on his breeches.
He gives up resisting and covers her mouth with his own, silently half-praying for forgiveness.
She looks so out of place in the noisy Vegas casino—an anomaly among all of the glittery, painted women in short skirts and stacked heels. That’s what catches his attention at first. And then she glances his way, her deep blue eyes almost electrifying as she glares at him, and he finds himself unable to look away.
