Jake isn’t really surprised that much. If it’s something like a jumpscare, he’ll usually clutch onto the nearest thing and hold his heart.
If it’s some more pleasant, he’ll usually just stand an stare for a few moments, wide- eyed, before slowly approaching who or what the surprise came from. He’ll also probably still hold his chest and smile widely.
