I'm interested in making an ask blog for OUAT's Wendy Darling. I think I'm going to make it my secondary blog. Is there anyway to connect my Primary blog to my secondary blog, like putting a link called main blog, so people can get access to my main blog too? Also, can I advertise RP chatting on my ask blog as well? I read the ask blog tutorial and I'm really confused on the part about texts.
Glad to hear you read our "Get Started" askblog tutorial! (Sorry if it’s slightly incomplete, someday I’ll revamp it)
There are many ways to “link” your [secondary] askblog with your primary blog:
Yes, you can provide a page link to your primary blog [read Tumblr’s Help Center under "Redirecting to an external web address"]
You can introduce a link to your primary on your “About Me” page
Or, as a precaution, you can explain in your “About Me” page that people should politely ask for your username. (You never know who lurks out there!)
Any information regarding how you run your askblog should be designated to a specific blog page: There’s many ways to organize your information, utilizing blog pages is just one way!
I.E. info about RPing, RP chats, asks, FAQs, -> create pages like ”About Me”, “FAQs”, “Q&A Guidelines”, ect.)
To clarify: The “Text Key section” in the "Get Started" askblog tutorial is an RPing reference. The reason why we introduce this mechanism is because:
Sometimes viewers get confused on how you run your askblog. Not all RP askblogs follow the RPing reference, nor do you have to follow it. However, it is usually common sense for viewers to understand the text keys RPers use to role-play( I.E. Using “quotes” for dialogue, and [brackets] for narration, ect.),
Even you, the RPer, sometimes gets confused on how others RP. By organizing your text keys, other RPers can adapt to your RPing without conflict, and viewers can gauge how well you RP!
Hope this helps! Good luck on making your askblog!
