Hi Bianca, the cowboys and waterfalls illustrations are amazing. Could you please explain a bit more about the photobash technique and how you do it? It sounds very interesting, thanks!

It is a technique used in concept art for video games and movies, in order to fast achieve a realistic illustration! It's possible to see lots of tutorials and explanations about this technique, like in here:

Basically, I sketch a composition in black and white and starts adding photos (free photos that I can use in my paintings) in order to use its textures and shapes. It's like composing with legos. Photos give you the assets and the only thing you care about is the composition, storytelling and just putting them in the right atmosphere :)

I remember when you had on your instagram bio asking to please not repost your art, so I always refrained from sharing it on my Instagram stories, but I see that it no longer says that. I wanted to check if you are okay with sharing it now, as I would not like to go against your will.

Thank you for everything that you draw, I’ve been following you for years and years and I’m simply in love with your art. My absolute favorite one is Albus saying his eyes are “toes”. So freaking adorable!! 🥰

Thank you!! Well, tbh i have given up asking people not to repost my art. They will do if they want to, and most of them don't ask me like you. And it's also not a problem for me anymore. The least I can do is to ask to be credited and, when they can, to help me support my art by buying me a coffee/book at ko-fi! It's been helpful to the support of my mental health (therapy and medicine) Which is something I'm giving more attention to.

How do you feel about artists getting inspired by your art style. What’s your opinion on it in general?

I feel honoured :) I am inspired by many artists, after all!

I would love to know if you have any advice regarding character design. Like your James/Lily & Harry/Ginny are so perfect… Where do you start to come to such a result? I am really struggling with this in my practice…

Drawing characters is about repetition. The more you do it, the better they become.

I drew them so much, and I give attention to their hair, body posture, even to how they talk. But I also dont overthink it! It's not about trying TOO hard, sometimes you just have to relax and let it go.

If it's not good enough on 1 day, in the next day, if you draw your characters again, it gets better. If it's not good enough for you, keep drawing it! Sometimes you have to let go of their features, and just concentrate on their stories... what excites you the most about the characters you are drawing? Think about it and draw it! Only repetition will help you get to a desired level.
