1. your favorite face claims ;all of them, unfortunately. lol. but really… there are so many. i have a lot of faces i love using. willa holland. hunter parrish. jordan hinson. nico tortorella. candica accolla. spent a couple years constantly using taylor momsen, josh hutcherson and sophia bush. i forever have a soft spot in my heart for matthew goode due to a three year long 1x1 about a professor and his student i had with this girl i haven’t spoken to in years and miss terribly. i have a habit of attaching faces to the characters they play. i can’t use jordan for anyone but krissy, just like i can’t use hunter for anyone but tancred. these faces end up my favorite because the characters they portray often have profound effects on me. i love them for the memories they bring up, not because they’re pretty or handsome or look perfect for the bad guy with a good heart.

6. your favorite fandom oc (or one of your favorites) ;ugh. idk. hard tie between tancred and carleigh. i love them both equally. they are such big parts of me it’s hard to say that one is better than the other (even though i am currently saying they are better than everyone else living in my head). tancred might not be my “original” creation, but let’s be real the only thing about him that has anything to do with kisa is his name. and carl. carl, like many of my kids, took entirely too long to make. but when she was done, she was wonderful, and once she was in game she made my sides hurt and my eyes water on more than one occasion. carl can find the good in everything while tancred can find the absolute worst in everything. they are two very opposite people, who lived in a house together with an ex-death eater and satan in the form of a child. and they were related, if i recall my own family trees correctly. but they are vivid and rich. and they grew so much while i wrote them i was learning about them constantly. i learned carl is over passionate about her pie baking and while i had at first believed her to be a crazy party girl she turned out to be a more beer at a dusty bar girl. tancred pretty much completely lost that blood lust kisa wrote him with, and turned into this soft teddy bear with a death glare. i tried so hard to be true to the tancred she had created but i couldn’t. if i’m being honest, i didn’t like the tancred she wrote, and i felt he had potential to not be such a stereotype. and i’m rambling. cutting it off here. lol.

9. a fandom character who you would really like to playthe darkling. straight up. i would absolutely love to play the darkling from the grisha trilogy. i would love to play a character from the grisha trilogy period. that series has struck me to bone and i cannot shake my love for it.talking harry potter though… katie bell. i had intended on playing her on pi. i had high hopes for her. i saw her as a hit-witch. tried to make it big in quidditch after graduation, played for either the hollyhead harpies (alongside ginny) or the wimbourne wasps for maybe three years. was a hell of a chaser but just didn’t quite love it the way she always thought she would. signed up to go through training to be a hit-witch. could have gone and become an auror, but for a girl like her hit-witch was more fitting. she liked to punch first and ask questions after she broke something. and honestly i saw fred’s death hitting her hard. and i saw her going over to george & angelina’s every year for the anniversary, along side the weasley’s and the potter’s, celebrating his memory. she might not have stayed close to harry or ron or hermione after they left hogwarts, but katie and angelina… those two would have been friends for life. she was such a bad ass though. she’s seen shit, done shit, been through hell and back. ugh whatever i always have the most feelings for the things that never happened.

13. an rpg you’d like to createwell i would like to finally get off my ass and finish s&s && l&l. legit. i have so many feelings and ideas for both of them, still, three years later. and i have been rewriting the member group descriptions and re imagining the plot for s&s lately. so who knows. i might stop being lazy and get something done for once.

15. your favorite rp otpanything with you. carluke. bronsley. sunzo. jodney. basically all the things we kill each other with. out of them all though… bronsley. because they are an epic love story. i see them as soulmates who meet over and over again each time they are reincarnated. there is bloodshed somewhere in their story. there are children sometimes and other times they never end up together and more often than not they break each others hearts before they let themselves be overcome with their love for one another. they hurt me and my feelings but in such a good profound way.

16. your favorite rp notpis it just me or is this question a contradiction? how can you have a favorite notp when a notp is literally a pairing you hate? ahaha. uhm… tancred/millicent. in the beginning, i liked them. they kind of worked. but as time went on and they were played together more it just didn’t fit. i think i wanted tanc to settle with someone he was friends with but he wasn’t like really friends with millie? lol i mean it sounds shitty but i think i forced that too much on him because he just… was so hard to write when it came to writing with her.

22. a plot you would like to play outi’ve always been interested in arranged/fake marriages. where they loathe one another or have a very strong distaste for one another. and they avoid each other but are forced to be around each other because they have to pretend to like each other. it’s part of the agreement or some shit. and they got in this thinking they knew each other, thinking they had the other completely figured out and didn’t like them because of who they thought they were. but in the end they knew next to nothing about the real people each of them are and as they live together they learn little details about each other like family life and what they like to do and how they sleep and what they eat and they start to love one another. but they hated each other, so they can’t let the other know how they feel. and it keeps going, each of them pretending to still hate the other when in reality they love each other more than words can express until it just… cracks. the pretense of mutual hate cracks and… happy feelings.

26. a song you’d like to use to build a character onthis one… i have no idea. honestly. there are too many songs that i get ideas for characters from, and too many characters i want to make. i can’t pick just a single one. (sighs)

a brief and somewhat inelegant description of the s&s member groups & the wasteland.

witches & sorcerers. men and women born with magic coursing through their veins and the power of the elements at their fingertips.

mediums. mortals with an innate ability to communicate with spirits trapped between this life and the next.

diviners. the few and proud mortals who have the wondrous ability to see through time and space. whether that is with visions or drawings or fortune telling, it often results in eerily accurate readings.

demons & angels. immortal creatures who have slipped past the veil between this world and the wasteland, who have latched onto a mortal host. demons are spirits who have been corrupted and often times turned evil, where as angels are simply spirits who got lost and stuck in the wasteland.

spirits. the souls of the dead who have not yet moved on.

hunters. mortals who know of the supernatural world and protect other mortals from their harm.

humans. grade a mortal. nothing at all fancy about them.

the wasteland. not quite purgatory. take a few wrong turns and spirits end up here. they are lost, with no hope of finding their destined place. whether they are good or bad spirits, this is where they reside, in a timeless world right in the middle of everything else. escape is not impossible, as they can return to the mortal world from the Seams, which are unstable dimensional paths through time and space. they require hosts, however, and cannot last in the mortal world without them, unlike spirits stuck there.

i’ve slacked so hard when it comes to my writing and all the plans i had. work kicked my ass, and it kicked it hard, and i wanted to do nothing but sleep and pity myself. been out of the game for a long long time but i intend on a comeback of epic proportions. i still want to make l&l annnnnd s&s for those of you who are still potentially interested. i miss writing with you fools and i need you back, you asshats. i have made june 25th my deadline. i am determined as fuck to do this. i’ll post updates as i make progress.

secrets & sorcery has gone through so many ridiculous changes since i first thought of it, it’s been a dozen different things and never once was i really set on it. now i’m returning to the very first original idea i had for it. witchcraft. demons. angels. hunters. underground cabals. etc etc.

lethifolds & lace. my original concept was victorian era hp. now i’m straying towards 1960s southern gothic salems. dunno where i’ll go with it quite yet.

28. Your most dangerous OC?

oh god, without a doubt, finn. one of the most interesting things about her before i took her on was that she was smart but painfully underutilized—and that didn’t change when she married phoenix. the things she went through as a wife, pressured by death eater colleagues and her father and societal expectations, broke her a little, but they also hardened her, as did being bitten by a werewolf.

but hell hath no fury like a woman whose child has been taken from her, who wants so fiercely to keep him safe even when she knows that she too is dangerous. now that she is a wolf—the creature that terrified her the most, something that made her into a reflection of her father—she’s a ticking time bomb. i’m actually relieved that i never had to write her in a life-or-death situation, because short of god-moding, i fucking swear, she would have done anything to win. to stay alive. to get her child back. to anyone. a few times i found myself worried that with finn, i would cross a line... and honestly, though i was writing her? i would’ve been p-r-e-t-t-y fucking terrified.

22 Is there any OC of yours people tend to mischaracterize? If yes, how?

i’ve been thinking about this for a while and honestly, i don’t think so! or, well, nothing beyond simply reducing them to their most defining traits, which is totally understandable!

23. Introduce an OC that has changed from your first idea concerning what the character would be like?

almost every one of my characters has changed so much, but i thought i’d shine the spotlight on a character who hasn’t been in my head for a long time: maeve. 

i don’t know if you remember her—okay, you probably do, i’m sorry—but when i first imagined her in response to a character request, she looked like karen gillan, with a round face, large eyes, and a quiet, innocent demeanor.

maeve was supposed to be an intensely introverted girl who grew up with a grandmother who thought her unworthy of her bloodline—a woman who believed that, by breaking maeve, she would be able to make her the pureblood she was supposed to be. and part of the plot requested was that maeve, already downtrodden and terrified of making a misstep, would become, i think, attached to a character with homicidal tendencies and love being dominated, even as much as she hated it.

but when karen gillan’s face was reserved in a large, ambitious cast of characters, i had to choose someone else, and i went with kay panabaker, who looked vibrant and youthful and exciting. she looked her age, and more than that, she looked like she was going to be a troublemaker, and i loved it. so i twisted her background: instead of folding in on herself, maeve responded to abuse by fighting back. she became a prankster, a problem, a little shit. and that was a complete 180° change from what was planned.

in the end, i’m glad things didn’t work out. hell, i’m amazed that i originally acquiesced to that sort of request; everyone built and played out interesting plots, but i was so drawn to the forbidden that it didn’t hit me until later that there was something so, so wrong with it--that is, being okay with creating a girl who would be betrothed to someone with such urges, and who, if we’d pushed through with it all, would have been stuck with him for a long time. making the new maeve rebel must have been my unconscious’ way of protecting myself (and maeve) from that. at the very least, it was a learning experience, and a lesson: don’t be afraid to say no. speak out, even if your voice shakes.
