Very interesting background image. I feel like I should recognize it, but the origin escapes me.
It’s from Raidou Kuzunoha vs the Souless Army!
I think I've mentioned before, we don't have any Steel Rangers out in my neck of the West. Just what is it you guys do, anyways?
Inkwell: Well. Most of the Steel Ranger contingents are primarily concerned with the collection of and preservation of Pre-war and War-era technology. Originally the Steel Rangers were part of the Equestrian Military, deployed on the front lines or used in special operations.
So as you might gather, since we started out as a military organisation, we’re kinda pre-disposed to finding and preserving weapons technology. Most contingents of Steel Rangers will happily ignore Ponies in need, though there are certain contingents, like the Trottingham Contingent, Happy Hills Contingent and the Buckston contingent that are more willing to provide aid to ponies in need.
Since I am personally building my contingent from scratch, I get to shape it however I please.
News around New Pegas is that a Steel Ranger airship headed out to reclaim Wintertrot went down. That'd be your group? Hang on a sec... *whackwhackwhack* *FZZT* Okay, that looks like it cleared the static up a bit. How's the picture on your end?
Inkwell: The picture’s good on our end Mister Dead-Shot. Hey is that a Sprite-bot hovering behind you? They’re useful companions to have, or so I'm told.
Anyway in answer to your question, yes I was on that airship. The rest of my Rangers have been recruited here in Wintertrot. I'm much more flexible when it comes to recruiting Rangers, none of that pony-only crap.
How does Equestria have ANY "fundamentalists" when the Princesses ARE the only local deities, and there's no such thing as a Bible with any laws in it that COULD be fundamentalist in nature since the goddess are RIGHT THERE to ask any questions of? For that matter, why would the "few fundamentalists" there apparently are anyways even be opposed to same-sex marriage --- on what grounds? Certainly not religious --- it would have to be concern for continuation of the species through breeding.
I had meant fundamentalism in the sense of ponies sticking to an certain set of principles- such as the kind of ponies who believe the only ponies who should be together are those who can produce foals naturally, with no outside forces such as magic, special potions or science.
As for the 'Goddess' aspect of Celestia and I- some ponies revere us as more than princesses and others do not. Our word is not always law. Ponies will always have their own opinions on things that are not influenced by my sister or I.
As to what basis a pony would be opposed to same sex unions- well, that was answered when I explained what I meant about fundie ponies.
