MOTHER, I'VE FOUND YOU!!!!
"My son, my sweet sweet Damon"
Light As A Feather || Damon & Elena ||
Elena stepped out of the front door of the small local with a sweet smile gracing her lips as she felt how the last rays of sunlight of late afternoon touched her face with delicacy. This time of the day, in particular, was her ultimate favorite. And it was easy to know why. Something about it just felt extremely soothing and just plain satisfying. It was at this time that the town of Mystic Falls started to get quieter as people went directly to their homes to enjoy dinner with their families or just to hang out at the Grill after work. And in this time Elena could walk slowly without a rush as she soaked herself into the beauty of the day. It was right in that moment when she could relax and pay attention only to the things that truly interested her.
She would listen to everything. From the playful children around the corner to the dogs barking as their owners took them out for their usual stroll. All of those things seemed simple and so meaningless to most people, but throughout the years, Elena had grown to enjoy every single one of them by looking at the bright side of each situation. Because that was the only way she could be aware of what was around her.
This afternoon in particular, she decided to shop for some groceries before joining her aunt Jenna for dinner later. Of course she knew that Jenna would lecture her about walking around alone when it was getting darker, but it had been a while since Elena moved out from her house and there was no one, by this point, that could tell her that she couldn't take care of herself. However, despite her incessant reminders to her aunt that she perfectly capable of doing things alone, she still worried a lot about her.
It wasn't that Elena didn't appreciate it. In fact, she understood why sometimes she was a bit overprotective when it came to her, but it had been a very long time ago since the accident and Elena had grown to learn to live this way for such a long time that her only hope was the she saw that there was nothing to worry anymore.
[ She was fine. More than fine. ]
As she walked down the main street, her white cane still in hand, the brunette suddenly felt swift movements coming from behind her that immediately startled her. Weird, because she had developed almost perfect senses that could have easily recognize that someone was near. But she felt nothing.
She decided to ignore whatever it was, assuming that maybe it was just a rush of the wind. However, they didn't stop at all and she couldn't help but turn a few times—for pure instinct only—to recognize who or what was it. She could've sworn it felt like someone was following her, but the familiar feeling she felt when near to a human's presence was not found in there. She had to be the only one there, what was going on?
Picking up her pace, she hugged tightly one of the grocery bags against her chest as move of protection, even though it clearly wasn't going to help her. She kept her senses at ease for a while, trying to keep as calm as possible since probably all of this was just product of her imagination. The night was arriving quickly and she'd need to leave soon if she wanted to make to Jenna's. Just as she held that thought, another swift movement was found and this time Elena shuddered in fear. "Is someone there?" She asked, in a low voice.

"Growing bored of sweet Elena already? Pity."

"Is that a demand or a request?" He’d gladly do it. He just wanted to know if Damon meant it or not.

The young witch’s heart-shaped lips parted, her state largely perturbed and even awed, “Maybe— no?”
