Stefan groaned at the voice, “Go away,” he spoke until it set in who’s voice it was. He quickly shot up, turning to meet the woman’s eyes, “M…mother?” she was different than how he remembered, since he was so young when she died.

A slight frown formed as she listened to him tell her to leave however she pushed it back when he turned around. She simply nodded and smiled at her youngest son. "Hello Stefan."

"Stefan." She greeted her son fondly her blue eyes looked to her son. "Do not cry I am here now that is all that matters."

Caroline thought back to when she first met Damon and quickly felt her temper flare. Snuffing out her anger, she flashed Maria a soft smile. “Damon has come a long way. He’s a good guy.” She thought about what his reaction would be to hearing her say these things, and she secretly hoped he wouldn’t be too surprised by it all. “Besides, the world wouldn’t be balanced if he was more like Stefan.”

"I'm sure it would be a sight." He nodded in approval. "Both are drastically different but are eternally bonded as brothers but both boys are keeping out of trouble as much as they can right?"

So she did know about the lovely Elena. Well, that cut out most of the bullshit. “I was, yes,” she replied with a small nod. Her apology for Damon’s behavior nearly knocked Caroline onto her butt. Wow. That must be where Stefan got that. “It’s all right, Mrs. Salvatore. Damon has…and if you ever tell him this I will deny it for all of eternity…he’s grown on me. In a good way.”

A tender smile graced the woman's lips. "Nobody has called me that in years, it's a nice change." Damon was a lot of things she had carried many hopes and dreams for him as she watched him grow up while she was still alive. "Still my son does have manners somewhere inside once you get past the repulsiveness of his actions. He doesn't usually think, that is his gift from his fathers side."

After getting directions from one of the locals Maria had made her way over to the house that her sons had once resided in. It was much different than their older house but change was good she told herself as she walked inside the home looking around at the surroundings. she had seen it before however actually being alive to see it was much different in comparison. Making her way inside further she stopped settling her eyes on the person before her. "Hello." She greeted fondly.
