nagito is brought into the room by a nurse, the wheels of the wheelchair squeaking ever so slightly as it moves. she leaves him. nagito looks at ed-- he looks too dead to be sleeping and too busy sleeping to be dead. he clears his throat. "h-hey, ed, can you hear me?" it's worth a try. -askdespairnagito

(In the end, the sound of Komaeda's voice is what brings him to. It always does.

It takes him a while, but slowly, he opens his eyes. Processing where he is for a moment, he blinks slowly before looking at Komaeda. He .. smiles.)

...Ko.

"e-ed... no... p-please..." a weak voice comes from behind him. "y-you said you wouldn't... leave me..." -askdespairnagito

(His heart breaks. He didn't want Komaeda to - meet him. Eyes widen, terrified.)

Komaeda! Y- you can't be here! You have to get out of h-

So this is your new bitch, huh? He's U G L Y . HAHAHA!

(The black haired figure steps out of the flames, grabbing Nagito by the chin. He leans in and whispers, spite on his tongue.)

I was here first.

"hello? ed? i heard that something happened to you. are you awake?" -askdespairnagito

Ah. So you are Edward’s human. 

(The stranger takes your chin in his hands, lifting your head and examining it carefully and without a trace of emotion on his features. After studying him carefully, he withdraws his hand.)

It’s nice to meet you. I am Azrael- Archangel and Edward’s superior. 

He is still out, unfortunately. However, he should be waking up shortly. Care to take a seat?

(You’re not sure where it came from, but there is suddenly a chair behind you.)

"ed, it's nagito, are you okay?" -askdespairnagito

(He turns around. He looks the same, but his voice is different; familiar in the worst, bile inducing way.)

"ed? hey, someone told me something was wrong, so i wanted to come check on you. are you doing okay?" -askdespairnagito

Komaeda!

(He smiles warmly, before immediately grabbing him by the arm and pulling him into a hug. He looks down into his eyes.

Something seems off.

His face is flushed.)

"h-hey, ed? are you... are you okay?" nagito approaches cautiously from the doorway, confused and more than slightly disturbed by what he just witnessed. he's afraid to touch him, almost convinced he'll catch fire on the spot. -askdespairnagito

(He holds his head in a small whimper, struggling to stand up.)

I .. a - ah.. um...

(He wobbles his way to the door, shutting them inside and locking it.)

I am ..not alright. This is really not good. Really bad. Really bad. καταστροφή.

(He seems to be slightly panicking. His hands are shaking. He pushes past him to the kitchen, rustling through things. He grabs the salt immediately.)

"ed? are you alright? i haven't seen you today... are you alright?" he knocks on the door, a tray with french toast and strawberries, and orange juice balanced on one hand. "are you hungry?" -askdespairnagito

(He seems to perk up slightly as the other enters the room. He slowly sits up, eyeing over the food, before frowning softly.)

I .. am not hungry. Is that bad?

(His eyes fall slowly.)

... I am still unable to dream.
