2: Which of your fics is your pride and joy?

Devotion. It’s a gift fic that I wrote for Chronic’s Mercy for the lamb fic series. I spent like two weeks writing it. Put sweat and tears into it. And it went so well that one of the OCs showed up in the main series. Definitely one of my favorite moments as well. :)

3: What are your top 3 most commonly used tags on ao3?

Emotional hurt/comfort, angst, fluff.

14: What makes you happiest?

Comments. I love reading them and interacting with people. It usually makes me wish that I would start writing sooner. :)

First impression

i could not take riko seriously at all for the entirety of the original series. i had him mentally categorized as "tropey super-evil villain mwuahaha" from book one. i was rolling my eyes at riko in trk thinking, "of course you also enjoy torturing people for fun." that's just the sort of characteristic people give to their villains they want the reader to know is definitely super-evil. like, no "good guy" in fiction ever has the "torture people" hobby. at worst, i thought of riko as lazy writing of an antagonist, and at best, i thought he was written to be a cliche intentionally because he really wasn't meant to be the focus of neil and andrew's story.

Impression now

long-time followers of mine will have witnessed first-hand my descent into liking riko. it's kevin's fault. it really is. i was intrigued by kevin after tkm and i really wanted to know what makes him tick. and somewhere along the way, i got around to thinking about kevin's relationship with riko which led me to thinking more about what kind of person riko is. and. well. here we are. now i can appreciate riko as a character and not just as a narrative device. although in tgr i was starting to miss riko as a narrative device because jeremy's family/hook-ups all suck so much and aren't doing enough to advance the plot.

i have blorbos that i like to put on a shelf and just admire them as they are and then there are blorbos i like to put through the industrial blender of suffering. riko goes right into the blender :)

Favorite moment

gotta go with the infamous scene during neil's Christmas Torture Holiday at Evermore. because what the fuck. what even was that. you can always rely on riko to do something unhinged that raises the stakes. neil and riko are both really good at unhinged stake-raising actions. the two of them combined? unparalleled.

Idea for a story

every idea i have for a riko-centric story is fucked up and explicit and comes with probably many content warnings. like i know this fandom isn't big on that kind of story but... just to throw a couple ideas out there... perfect court omegaverse - omega riko, alpha everyone else, the nest has a flipped hierarchical structure. pre-canon jeremy/riko - somewhere along the way of trying to draw jeremy's attention away from kevin to make kevin jealous, riko accidentally ends up as one of jeremy's conquests. wymack/riko - brat-taming porn.

Unpopular opinion

not to get too serious but...liking riko is a morally neutral stance.

Favorite headcanon

ace!riko is near and dear to my heart. i think it would make a lot of sense if riko never thought or realized he was in love with kevin because of the lack of sexual attraction. riko being like, i don't like him, i just want to kill him and wear him like a warm coat - which could mean anything. i think it'd be funny.

2. What is your go to comfort show?

You know currently I don't have one but I used to, it was an anime called "Ouran Highschool Host Club" it's about a girl named Haruhi who's a new student at this rich school called Ouran Highschool where she accidentally breaks an expensive vase which causes her to be sworn in by a Host Club at the school. The kicker is that some of the guys in the Host Club know Haruhi is biologically a girl except one but Haruhi isn't bothered to which you find out shes either nonbinary or genderfluid who doesn't care what she dresses like not how she's perceived.

(Note: Honestly Haruhi is me in a nutshell. I also love her character for that and the show at the time should have been a sign for me.)

11. Do you have a comfort Item? Tell us about it!

Yes, my vibr-kidding! TMI but I'm seriously joking. Um my comfort Item (for when I go to sleep) is this "weighted triceratops" that I bought a few months ago to help me sleep. Because your girl can get lonely or touch starved so in order to stave off that feeling I need to line pillows up against the "wall" of my bed and hug my triceratops. I might have to eventually open the little guy up to put a bag or a sock of rice into it and then sew it up because it's not actually weighted.

(Note: I have other comfort items that help me in certain situations so if anyone wants to ask this question again go for it.)

19. Have you ever written or received a love letter?

No, I don't believe I've ever written a genuine love letter to anyone...maybe while in limerence at an old job that got me in serious trouble. I wouldn't even consider that a love letter so I suppose not. Now what about receiving a love letter? Umm... unfortunately I've never received one in my life because no one has ever liked me enough to write a love letter to me.

(Note: Been that way since I came out of the womb.)

24. Who's your best friend?

Well I don't want to upset anyone by saying who's my best friend but I will say now that the wolves are out of the bag. I feel closest to Parker because our lives kind of reflect each other in a way like we're almost the same person but not and when we talk it feels natural and not forced. I also feel close to Angie who's a pretty cool person when you get to know her and we met because she had posted an edit I liked and reblogged which gave her the sign that I was a chill person to talk to and that she's been a fan of my work. Also Me and Angie talk about a lot of different fandoms over since then and she's even introduced me to the Descendents series to which once I've watched the movie "Rise of Red" I would talk to her about it.

I will tell you three facts about my third Mortal Kombat Oc, 🐉Lady Shenra, the Heavenly Dragoness🪷

First Fact: Lady Shenra was also known as "Amitolane" by the Matokan tribe, the Goddess of Rainbow (but she doesn't associate herself with rainbows although her aesthetic is indeed rainbows) who cleans and restores after her husband, "Haokah (Raiden)" the God of Storm and Thunder.

Second Fact: She's an Elder Goddess just like her father "Yu Huang, the Heavenly God" but refused to have the same treatment as him. She humbled herself to serve her father and the realms.

Third Fact: Lady Shenra loves cats but for some reason, cats don't like her and would often hiss or run when she tries to pet them.

Bonus Fact: Lady Shenra was inspired by "Shenron", the Wish Dragon from Dragon Ball. She's like the genderbent of him lol and just like him, Shenra also had an artifact or relic that a person can use to summon her in which she can grant him/her one wish to whatever her/him heart desires.

I will talk about my second Mortal Kombat Oc, I haven't said much about her but she does deserve some publicity 😊 so here are three facts about 👠Gwen Davis, my Lady Fortune💋

First Fact: Gwen's real name was "Gwendolyn Bryant" she changed her name after her family kicked her out of their rich mansion when she chose to join the military instead of being a lawyer. (Sad background, I know)

Second Fact: Her title "Lady Fortune" was given by her Military Trainor because of her insane luck, a gift she had inherited from her father's bloodline.

Third Fact: She was obsessed with the Hollywood Superstar "Johnny Cage", she even kept a shire of his merch, action figures, and posters in her apartment.

Bonus Fact: She trained with Sonya Blade back in her short term military days, Gwen considered her as her rival back then.
