Sam Knows You're On The Spectrum
Another way Sam knows that you're on the spectrum is from how you talk about certain things more in depth like Mindy but instead of movies it's special interests and Sam believes that's why Mindy and the rest of her found family gravitate towards you, even herself.
Example: When you and the Core Four were watching Jurassic Park. Mindy said something about hearing the T-Rex coming from a mile away which made you light up. You say "Actually...Scientists believe that the T-Rex had padded feet so it could sneak up on you before you ever saw it coming. They also said that they believe that the T-Rex had front facing eyes like us so not only would you not hear it coming to get you but that it would see you for a certain amount of miles away before you ever noticed you were being watched. On top of that the T-Rex might not have roared like you see in the film because that would have required a different structure in the nose or throat for it to make a sound like that. Instead. They believe it sounded more like...a bellow or vibration there's a sound bite someone made online so you can listen to what it might've actually sounded like." Your in depth fun facts would unknowingly impress the Core Four and the sound bite you send to Mindy to listen to on the sound bar would create chills across the living room. You'd also point out that not all of the creatures in the Jurassic Park series are from the same time period like some of the creatures that were made were either from the Triassic, Jurassic, or Cretaceous period which together makes the Mesozoic Era and that not all creatures coexisted together and that only some did. Your knowledge would create questions in the heads of the Core Four, especially Sam but she wouldn't ask you out right in front of her family, perhaps privately. So. Depending on what the topic of conversation was about you would share some of what you know about the different topics that came up in a conversation such as Wolves, Horses, or more Mesozoic creatures if someone from the Core Four asked you about or if a topic came up in a regular conversation. Your passion for a subject is something Sam finds odd at first because not a lot of people are passionate about whatever it is they are passionate about except for Mindy and Kirby. However, people who are passionate and real about something they like are both refreshing and very rare to Sam especially for someone who doesn't go out a lot or someone Tara brings home. Sam wouldn't know you were on the spectrum right away but she could sense it so before she ever asks you about if you were on the spectrum she would make sure to do some research first, eventually, learning about you and quite possibly herself or her family.
When Tara, Mindy, and Chad are out of the apartment buying snacks or groceries leaving you alone with Sam in the apartment, Sam would take the opportunity to talk with you. She'd even ask you if you knew anything about the Utah Raptor considering you like Dinosaurs and you'd reply "a little bit..." before voicing what you know. However, Sam would secretly engage with you in this way because she wants to get to know you and connect with you about something you like even doing her own research to further engage with you when you come over. Sam also does this because she secretly enjoys seeing your eyes light up, seeing you smile, and enjoys your company.
