((OOC: Out of Character/Derp/Whatever Livestream at 2 or 3 PST!))
((It's been a trying couple of months, and I just got the results back from two of my huge teacher tests on Monday. I passed!! So this is an excuse to celebrate. Vi and I will be doing a derpy ooc livestream/ustream/somethingstream at around 2 or 3 Pacific Standard Time. The link will be posted here! You guys can come in, ask us questions, w/e. We'll answer cosplay questions, makeup questions, or anything you just might want to know. I'm sure it'll go for around two hours, so pop in whenever!
((OOC: We're back from ALA and back to the daily grind! Updates should resume within the next few days, but here's what Vi and I looked like on Sunday!
I've gotten lots of requests on how I made my gifs, so here's a short tutorial! If anything needs clarification, send me a message.
First, I record a video. Mostly with my webcam, but occasionally with a handheld. Once the video is on my recorder, I upload it to a video editing program. I use Windows Live, but you can use just about anything.
Once uploaded, I find the 2-4 seconds (or shorter, if you prefer) of video that I want to turn into a gif, and trim the video to that.
I save that to my computer, then go to lunapic.com
I upload the video in the "Choose File" box.
It'll take you to a page that has your gif, and bars like this. My general rule for how to resize is as follows:
Depending on how long your gif is, you can give it more frames, or make it larger. For it to fit on tumblr, though, it must be under 1 MB (or 1,000 KB). Mine generally come out between 850-999 KB
Then I save the finished gif to my computer. It'll probably end up in your downloads folder, if you haven't designated your browser to save things elsewhere.
Here's where it gets kind of specific. I have Missing E, meaning I can just upload pictures into my text box.
This means that it won't show up as a gray box in your post.
