Do faunae still have to eat meat if they're born from herbivorous species? Also can they still be born from animal corpses as well as living animals or is that outdated?

Yes, all faunae are carnivorous by nature, no matter what kind of animal they were born from. They all have sharp teeth and vaguely cat-like features by default, though they can also have features from other animals on top of those. It seems Gaia decided she wanted Her beast-nymphs to be cat girls lol.

Faunae manifesting from animal corpses is old lore. In the current lore, they are birthed by living animals only.

Can Faunae be born from fish? And if yes, can they breath underwater?

Yes, and yes!

Aquatic faunae are sometimes mistaken for hydriads (just like some limniads are mistaken for dryads and vice versa). But hydriads look much more human/elven than aquatic faunae. The faunae tend to have "extra" features like urchin spikes, fish tails (in addition to legs), turtle or crab shells, flippers, etc.

1. How it's possible that faunae nymphs have souls but don't feel love or understand art?. 2. Why dating more than one person is lefal in matatzu but polyamory is illegal? This definitely destroy many relationhip and broke many hearts. How many people try to change that? How they trying to change that? Did polyomory was once legal in matatzu? If yes,then why they changed laws? 3. Did human man can't doggy or be at top on elf female until he come because elves are too fragile?

1 ) Faunae are born with a weak creative drive and low emotional attachment to others, but they CAN be taught to develop these things over time. Soulless peoples can't comprehend love or art no matter what they do, they lack all capability.

2 ) This comes down to taxes ultimately. Married couples get special tax benefits and other rights in Matuzu Kingdom, and the kingdom likes to keep this simple by allowing only couples. However, there is no financial harm to the government by married couples dating multiple people outside of their marriage, so they allow it.

There are many Matuzans who challenge this law, and I think it has been repealed and reinstated many times throughout history. Polygamy is legal and widely practiced in the neighboring kingdom of Etios, and some Etios culture bleeds into Matuzu.

3 ) Humans can totally doggy-style an elf, they just have to be gentler than they would be with another human. Elves are kind of brittle and can get injured easily, especially by sudden impacts. Restraint required!

Are all normal nymphs around human size even if they are born from really big or really small things? For example is a hummingbird faunae the same size as a roc faunae? Of course they still have height variation like humans but how much?

Nymphs generally range between average human and elf sizes. So they can be really short and fat or really tall and skinny by human/elf standards, but you won't find any ogre-sized or gnome-sized nymphs. At least, not naturally-occurring ones. (There are magic spells that can shrink or grow them)

All faunae are birthed as a small seed that magically expands once it exits the host animal, so the size of the animal isn't that relevant in that respect. However, it can influence the faunae's full size. A faunae born from a rhinoceros will always be bigger than those born from mice, for example, but both will be within a human-sized range.

If faunae are part cat do they feel compelled to slap things off tables?

You bet they do! They also do that annoying thing where they act really sweet at first, then suddenly attack you for no reason...

Not to mention they are inexplicably afraid of cucumbers.

We see that nymphs like limiads/ dryads and oredes have a lot of diversity in form depending on the plants/ trees and minerals they spawn from, so why don’t faunae have the same kind of diversity? Since faunae are born from animal corpses you would think they’d adopt some of features of the animals their born from instead of all just being cat girls?

Faunae actually have quite a bit of diversity, I've just done a bad job depicting it in their concept art. Generally they have hairy paw-like feet and feline features, but some of them have horns, scales, shells, leathery plates, feathers, and so on. They all have long, prehensile tails, but they aren't always hairy. Sometimes these tails are scaly, feathery, or bare. They may have hooves instead of paws for feet. Some have horns or antlers, others don't. Some faunae even have hard, beak-like noses.

Faunae are so diverse in appearance that they are sometimes mistaken for other species, like fauns, harpies, or mermaids.

Cat-like faunae are the most common types people see, as this type tends to live near civilizations. But as you venture into more extreme wilderness environments, you're more likely to see more unusual-looking nymphs.
