that eve comic almost made me cry. i know its days old now but i barely saw it and oh my God. This is what i wanted. This is like an actual caring family, there's no condemning Eve it's treated with the severity of the situation in mind. That's the way it should have happened. They all love her so much and don't want her to hurt herself like that. ; ; it's so honest and real

This genuinely makes me happy that my comic affects people so much. This stuff absolutely happens and I wish kc got the best possible outcome. Watching characters I’ve loved for years become neglectful parents and shells of what they used to be hurts a lot. ESPECIALLY since this is a trauma comic made to help people with trauma!!

I really want to save them so this is a start!! Thank you so much for your honest feedback!!

However Barry might have hallucinations related to it! I have treated paranoid schizophrenia and I can imagine the idea of randomly being watched absolutely fucking with me

hii it's the originally polly anon again. just wanted to pop in and say that i've been thoroughly enjoying your characterizations (especially barry, ofc. i cannot stop quoting "sally what is skippity", it's genuinely that funny to me). i also find your interpretation of eve and her issues to be quite refreshing. haven't seen too many interpretations where eve isn't made out to be the bad guy.

i don't mean to yap but i genuinely think that the idea of sly and eve being "kindred" was an interesting concept but kc ruined it by deciding to romanticize it instead of acknowledging the issues and abuse that come with fictional interpretations of incest. my biggest issue came with sly and his ocd behaviors regarding incest and kc's inability to properly handle such a heavy topic without romanticizing it. i do not have ocd so i cannot 100% speak on it, but even i could tell that kc writing sly's friend (the name alludes me, sorry) essentially justifying and normalizing his intrusive thoughts about abusing eve by saying that it's just "what happens when you're in love with someone" was an utterly horrible decision. i fear for the upcoming arcs with sly and eve because i KNOW she's gonna write him doing something awful to her and go "well eve was actually secretly into it so it's all okay in the end!" anywho, sorry for the mild yap session. i wish you luck with your characters and hope to see more funnies from the gaggle of middle-aged freaks and their crazy children ^^

I CANT VILLAINIZE EVE!! It sucks but I just see a groomer victim!!! Her being completely unaware about slys humiliation fetish, urges, or thoughts is so fucking disgusting. Her being “okay with it” is doing extremely heavy lifting on not making him a creep. (He’s still a creep either way his 21 and she’s 17 dawg) but kc thinks as long as it’s 2 consenting people (people not adults) it’s okay. It’s really sick!!

Honestly as someone else with OCD I agree that Kittycorn is being extemely irresponsible. I've seen others vent about feeling like they have to ''test'' themself to see if their intrusive thoughts are true (ex: forcing themself to think about theit triggers to see if they ''enjoy'' it). Hell, one of the OCD themes I have is where I get intrusive thoughts about if I care about my hobbies all the time and then I try to test if I still like them lol. (I say lol but its agonizing even imagining not caring about the stuff I love most 😭)

The fact that Kittycorn is glorifying Sly falling into indulging her compulssions and eventually giving in to them is so disgusting. And it's such a waste, because if this wasn't a incest glorification story and if Sly wasn't based on a IRL abuser, a character struggling with more taboo, violent intrusive thoughts and getting help for them could help people with actual harm related OCD themes feel seen and spread awareness of what OCD actually is, as opposed to the mocked, warped version contamination/perfectionism OCD most characters have.

My girlfriend has relationship/religious ocd and questions her sexuality a lot (she’s bi and I’m lesbian) so sometimes she would test herself by asking herself if she actually liked women! It’s a very real thing and I hate how it’s become an adjective for “wanting to clean”

Sly actually dating his sister and having…. “Those Interests” means he’s indulging in it, it’s no longer irrational thinking or impulsivity, it stops being ocd’s fault at that point.

Also Polly has ocd, he’s going to be very particular on how to house is set up, but he will also have irrational thoughts as well!! I think it would help if sly had someone that understands!

Once again I don’t have ocd so my gf helped me with this response! I really hope I can do it justice!! Thank you so much for sharing because I know dealing with that is very hard!!

Yes! Honestly I’m extremely biased! I’m an older sibling and have felt nothing but “I gotta protect them” ALSO A SHES A MINOR!!

There is absolutely a power dynamic with older and younger siblings!! I have a sibling older by a little less than a year and that power dynamic was still extremely present! (also sorry these were rushed on my phone)
