I'm super curious if you've recently found any 'undiscovered' artists who you really like. whether they be on FA, dA or here on tumblr! thought it would be cool to share a few users ; u ;

What do you think is the biggest difference/s between Photoshop and SAI ? o.o I'm just curious. I have never used anything else than Photoshop.

Biggest differences hmm.Photoshop has image editing capabilities as well as drawing capabilities, but Paint Tool Sai is definitely more geared toward digital painting. You might be able to get the same results with each program as far as digital painting goes, but it can be harder in Photoshop because that’s not the program’s focus.Paint Tool sai Has options for stabilizing painters hand, which photoshop don’t have. I also personally love perfect blending capabilities SAI has. you don’t necessarily need any blur and smudges to have those effects.U_Uwell of course I am usin photoshop too but only if I need big variety of image editing options.  also.. PTS is Cheap. I mean seriously. about 50€ for a full licence of this program is not much.

THANKS so much ;; well... I am not sure if they have updated much but here you go. I added my wacom pen properties too so that you get the idea of my true tablet settings. These are the brushes I mostly use! Pencil, brush, blur, marker, Maalaus ( meaning painting ) and weird watercolor cloudy brush. Also for the last two brushes and textures used in them, I got from THIS tutorial. So thanks to Bluekomadori for those.

Could you PLEASE answer a question for me? I know a lot of popular artists don't like to answer/be asked this. But, how did you garner such popularity? Obviously your work is amazing, but when did others begin to take notice? Before you reached your current level or after? Was it slow or overnight? Some may think that it doesn't matter whether you're popular or not, or whether others like your work or not, but I disagree. I went to art school. Art = job means invisible = starve.

It is ten percent luck, twenty percent skillFifteen percent concentrated power of willFive percent pleasure (Naah just kidding), fifty percent painAnd a hundred percent reason to remember the nameNo seriously. It took me almost 10 years. Hard work. But I tell you that mostly I wasn’t even after popularity. I just wanted to have fun.Also what do you mean with art as a job is a same thing as starving?PS. I haven’t took any art schools so I am sure it is not about that.

How do you get inspiration to do art honestly? I don't get dreams or just hit me inspiration anymore, and I can only copy imagines in my own style now but nothing else really great? thank you.

I work for it. I watch everyday life, nature, games, documents, my cat, my family, I listen my friends and their stories, stuff like that.I browse through DA, or tumblr, I drink coffee....I seriously get inspirations from lots of stuff.

I've been selling logos through personal connections and port folios. No art school required. After all it's cheaper to go to that artist your coworker knows and pay the lump sum than advertise, short list, interview, short list THEN lump sum

Professional artist = someone who has made a job out of art. End story.

To me, "professional" = getting paid on a consistent basis for whatever you're doing. That's... pretty much it. However MUCH you're getting paid is a different story :P People have to work their way up the ladder to get more popular and well-paid.
