Sudden Paranoia

Her pace only quickened as time went on. She could feel her heartrate increase with each step. Adrenaline coursed through her veins. In her peripherals she could only see a blur of greens and browns. Though, her main focus was in front of her: leaping over fallen trees with ease, avoiding loose branches. It seemed like only minutes passed before Reme came to an abrupt stop.

She let herself fall against a tree. Her breathing was labored and her body shook with exhaustion, but she didn’t care. The overwhelming feeling of paranoia that made her start running in the first place was still very much prominent. She felt like she was being watched. Studied. Again. Her eyes darted around the trees rapidly in desperate hope that she was alone, or at least safely hidden.

But, i’m not tho. I’m trash. Depressed trash bc a lot of stuff has been happening and it’s just a l o t to take in within the course of 3 weeks. I’m glad you think I’m sweet when honestly I think you're a lot sweeter than me! You always try to cheer me up and I really appreciate that! I love your art man! It’s really unique and cute. I’d love to see it if you really wanna do that for me.

Darla frowned as she watched the stranger walk through the forest. It wasn’t unusual for strangers to pass through what was unusual though was that this stranger seemed to be unfazed. She should be scared and wanting to turn back by now. The forest was enchanted so all she should be seeing is a thick fog.

Darla slowly walked into the girl's view, her parasol hiding most of her face. “I think it’s about time you turned around.”
