So @askhomerungirl and I are engaged (yes, OOC-wise)
{Hey everyone! So, this is something that I've already shared on my main blog a while ago, but I figured I'd elaborate here because things all started on this blog so to speak.
Being in the Ososan fandom through this blog helped me meet people who, for some, became very dear friends, including @askhomerungirl 's mun, who later went on to become my queerplatonic partner... 6 years and a half ago already. I'd never mentioned it here but it's been a little while now, haha!
We're from different countries, so we're only able to see each other months apart and for only about 2 weeks at a time typically. Throw in a lot of happy moments together, plus a travel ban that lasted almost 2 years between our countries in reaction to the pandemic, and we've come to a point where we'd like to be able to be physically together on a more permanent basis than that, and as cliché at that is, marriage seems to be the most surefire way to make that happen.
So last month, on my latest visit to them, while we were in Disneyland to celebrate their birthday, I did the thing© at the end of the World Of Color water show – which, as they later pointed out, wound up being very on point for our respective ask blog characters, so, y'know, that works 🙈
So yeah! We're engaged now, and the next step will be months and months of immigration paperwork to have the right to marry in the same country to begin with. It's a very personal update, but y'know, considering the history and how somewhat fitting that is, I figured I'd share it here 🙈
