Here There be Dragons[Closed Starter]
The evening was quiet, calm; beasts of all varieties paused to find shelter, to search for a place to bed before the coming night. A peace rolled over the vale, as pokemon settled in for sleep. The last birdsong was sparse, a distant tune that filled the void of winter.
------
An earth-shattering bellow broke the calm.
Frightened cries filled the air, pidgeys and fletchlings shaken from their roosts as they wailed alarms into the fading blue. A grove of towering pine hid the offender, the roar dying in his throat even as blood cooled on his tongue.
The scent of gore hung fresh in the air, the Noivern declaring triumph over the kill. He cared not who heard, only that they heeded the cry--this was his meal, and he would tolerate no trespassers.
