These were some doodles I did in art class when I had finished early. They aren't terribly good, only meant to be looked at from a distance. But when it comes to motion and body language, these peices are great. I'd have to say the one with Feather sleeping is my favorite. All around good image along with great example of a tired body.
As for Xana and Bones fighting (More like Xana trying to get a stab in) I like the motion in this as well however there are a few minor details that bug me a bit. Along with the picture of Dismas and Zenith, which turned out alright besides the fact that Zenith's head looks weird. But other than that, these were great practice and I miss drawing these guys.
It had been a while. The program figured he should visit. Just in case Hark decided to fake his own death again or possibly get into some kind of trouble. Or maybe even sick, if that was possible. No, no he wasn’t worried, not at all. Not unless worried meant one was constantly thinking about how a particular someone was doing. Perhaps just a little. But who could blame him, especially after what happened.
Xana practically materialized out of thin air, smoky form taking shape into a familiar young hedgehog, the only difference being the shade of his fur the symbols in his eyes. He glanced around the garden, hoping to find the older hedgehog.
...That didn't feel right. He didn't know what it was, or why it sent goosebumps down the weirdest of places, but something didn't feel quite right with the universe today.
Maybe he'd give Hark a call? Hark was the all-knowing bastard most of the time, right?

...
Alright, so the computer was on the fritz today. Picking up the phone on his desk, Commander decided to do it the old fashioned way. One, two, three rings...
Zenith was hunched in a dark corner in what remained of an office building standing on it's last leg. It wasn't hard to notice the swarm of Black Arms filing out of the comet in the center of the city, having counted a good 20 of them who'd passed his hiding spot. He heaved a shaky sigh, pulling the bag Rouge had given him a while back closer to his side. Before going to ruffle through it, he made sure that there were no Black Arms lurking nearby. Once he felt it was safe he took out the last piece of bread; not even a full loaf. That was fine, it's not like he needed to eat. He could starve like everyone else.
Noting the dryness for a moment, he weakly bit into it. The meal was quick, being only 3 quarters of the average slice. His eyes soon trailed back to the bag, eying the small stitching on the side. Hark had fixed it up, patching all the tares from constant use. He gritted his teeth as he felt his chest grow heavy. He'd thrown everything Hark had given him to the sands of that beach they'd fought on. Everything except the care he'd taken to the bag itself. It was like he couldn't get rid of him.
"Then I won’t keep you here any longer. Just… Please, remember, even if you think you don’t belong here, there is still someone who will be waiting for you should you need it. There will always be a meal waiting for you, arms ready to take you back in."
He choked back a sob, covering his mouth the best he could. Why was he regretting his actions? Why did he want to crawl back to him? After everything he'd done. Could have injured Hark or worse, yet the other had found it in himself to forgive Zenith. "Why", came a quiet whine as hands went up to smear the tears across his cheek. It was driving him nuts, craving the kindness Hark had shown him.
But he wouldn't go back, he couldn't. He did not belong there nor deserve what Hark offered. He belonged here, where he'd rot in the world that he'd been given the chance to save. Glowing pink hues shifted back to the bag, ears pinned as his expression morphed into one of anger. Harshly, he grabbed the bag and threw it out the office window, the disturbance earning loud accusing roars. No, he wasn't coming back. For the sake of Hark and his guilty conscious.
All Zenith got was laughter from Hark as Omega shouted to be put down.
"I didn't lie, Zenith. Technically, you are fragile. I just didn't specify the weakness," he said as he watched Omega being thrown and struggle to get up. And, when he finally did, he looked insulted.
>>NO ONE SHALL THROW THIS UNIT.
And, with a spinning hand, Omega went after Zenith.
"Fair point", he carelessly waved up at Hark, watching Omega try to get up with an amused smile. The fact that he looked insult made it all the more funny. Catching on to what Omega was going to do next he got into a fighters stance, prepared to jump. Just as that hand went for him he jumped over it and quickly kicked it's aim down to the ground. So that Omega was digging for dirt and not Zenith.
He quickly ran up the robot's arm, jumping up to give a kick to Omega's back to only send him deeper. Zenith bounced off and landed a few feet away. With those hands back on his hips he gave a laugh, feeling rather cocky. "I apologize Omega, I will make sure not to throw you again. How does that sound?"
askimmortallifeform:
To say that Hark was having the time of his life wasn't even half of it as he laughed so hard, he almost fell out of the tree.
And it didn't get any better as Omega was practically thrown into the dirt.
But the robot only looked at Zenith in surprise. This Shadow alternate was strong. Very strong.
A fine sparring partner.
Omega stood back up and gave smiley face again.
>>STRONG. WORTH THE NAME OF SHADOW. NICE.
And Omega clapped.
Watching Omega stand from his place in the dirt has Zenith getting into position again. He only eased up once he saw the smiley face, offering how own grin. The laughter in his ears had him chuckling, finally straightening at the comment. Zenith gave a bow, braid coming to life to gesture to him as he did so.
"Thank you Omega, you are as well", he laughed, tail wagging behind him as he glanced up. "I hope you had a good laugh, yes?"
askimmortallifeform:
The braid coming to life had Omega's sensors going off, but the fact that his partner barely moved from his position told him it was alright. Chaos was something Omega had trouble with, so Hark was his relay, there.
And the way Hark jumped down from the tree, he knew it was safe.
"It's always nice to see someone who can put Omega in his place and it isn't me," he said as he tapped against the robot. "But currently, he's pretty much a hollow shell. Were he fully equipped, this would have turned into something a lot more dangerous."
>>HARK REFUSES TO ARM THIS UNIT TO ITS FULL POTENTIAL. IT IS A SHAME.
"I don't do it because you would cause trouble. And I'm already in trouble enough."
>>PREPOSTEROUS. ALL PROBLEMS CAN BE CLEANSED WITH FIRE.
Before Hark sighed, shaking his head. The calm life didn't suit Omega. And no matter how much reprogramming Hark did, Omega would never lose that want to destroy.
He just needed...
Wait...
He looked at Zenith for a moment, seeming to size him up before leaning against Omega, arms crossed and slight smirk floating.
"Say, since Omega can't fight against you, how about you go against me?"
Later, he'd tell why. Now, to see if Zenith would take the bait.
A fanged grin as he straightened, watching Hark jump down from his perch. That much was obvious, with the method Omega chose to attack. If it were his Omega he'd have multiple guns aimed for his face. Not that the out come would be any different. He could take a good few bullets if need be. Zenith laughed at the familiar comment about cleansing using fire. This was Omega alright.
The look he got from Hark had him tensing, ears lowering, thoughts forgotten. He hoped Hark wasn't thinking what he thought he was thinking. It was soon confirmed when the other spoke, the grin turning into a small frown. He did not want to spar with someone who had given him a place to stay, comfort, and love. What if hurt the other accidentally? A nervous swallow, "If that is what you wish". He wouldn't deny Hark if he wanted to spar but it was certainly making him uneasy.
askimmortallifeform:
Hark was not satisfied with Zenith's answer. The kid was folding, as if afraid to hurt him when he probably couldn't.
Didn't matter if Zenith thought he was doing the right thing or not, he was underestimating Hark.
And, after everything he'd gone through, the elder one felt slightly irritated.
The smile was lost as Hark dismissed Omega, the robot still sticking close because it wanted to see. Hark never went all out during their spars, knowing he could kill him in an instant. But maybe, just maybe, with this Shadow, he would.
Although with the impression of an explosion going past them as if the current of Chaos usually surrounding Hark's body was being repelled, probably not.
But the words...
"If you're worried about hurting me, let's make a few things clear. I survived both a nuclear explosion and having my body ripped apart before it came back together. The wound you gave me took about a day to heal when it should have taken at least a week.
"I might not be nowhere near as strong as you, Zenith, but I still managed to go toe to toe with Knuckles. Even managed to give the guy a concussion quite a number of times which was left for his wife to nurse.
"So if you're scared about turning me into minced meat, don't I can handle anything you dish out."
Then he winked, smile coming back, but with a bit of a Sonic twist to it.
"Besides, where is the thrill of battle if you don't get hurt every once in a while?"
Not necessarily underestimating but more frightened of that possibility alone. Sure, he had a good idea what the other was capable of. In fact he was sure Hark could kill him easily. That thought had a shiver rack down his spine, tail fur standing. If anything he was afraid of himself, of possibly loosing it in front of Hark. After living in a world were loosing wasn't an option, he'd do anything to come out of it on top. He had to or else he could die.
A nervous swallow as Omega was dismissed, the smile from a Hark fading. He took an uneasy step back, ears folded. Zenith did not wish to do this, eyes shooting to the ground as Hark began to speak. "I understand", a long pause, wanting to continue but couldn't bring himself too. Especially after witnessing the wink. Zenith could already feel the adrenaline pumping, causing his muscles to bunch up. All that kept repeating in his head was, 'don't do this'.
"Yes, I suppose so", a mumble as Zenith got into a fighters stance, nervous.
askimmortallifeform:
Hark smile was lost once again at the answer. The very short answers as Zenith reached a fighting stance, seemingly jumpy. Fear? Definitely. The kid was scared of something and it was showing even in his stance.
He half wanted to dismiss Zenith now, rethinking the fact that testing him wasn't a good idea, but he remembered all too well his own fear and the fact that Chaos had not only brought it out, but contained the beast long enough for him to come out.
If this was the fear Zenith had, then he had to make sure that fear was at least tamed.
Hark did not drop in a fighter's stance, instead jumping to grab the lowest branch of the nearest tree, and using the momentum he gave himself to throw himself at Zenith, making the poor boy land flat on his back, Hark over him with a raised eyebrow.
"You are taking this way too seriously."
With the smile gone he tensed up again, eyes glued to Hark and his movements. He tried to remind himself that this was just a spar, that this was just for fun. A challenge. But it was different with Hark, no matter how durable he was. He was still afraid and it was showing, body shaking lightly. Zenith had been so distracted with his worried thoughts that he did no have enough time to properly dodge Hark as the other landed on him.
Something snapped as he landed, eyes pinpricks. Whatever Hark had said went unheard as the braid came to life and grabbed the hedgehog's arm. In a quick movement he threw Hark over and slammed him into the ground. He pinned him there with his braid, quickly scrambling up to pin Hark to the ground himself. His breathing was panicky and it took a long moment for his eyes to dilate to a normal size. Once he realized what he did and came back from his haze he stumbled up and off Hark, body shivering.
He couldn't bring himself to look at Hark, eyes elsewhere as a mumbled a small apology.
askimmortallifeform:
Hark didn't expect being thrown off, and, when he landed, he was not only slightly dazed, but he could only blink at Zenith as the latter apologized.
He hadn't lost his touch as far as he knew, but the kid was definitely acting differently since it was him.
Survival, wasn't it? The simple fear of dying if he lost.
Alright. He could deal with that. He gave a joking smile.
"I'm afraid that spot is reserved for my husband," he said before kicking Zenith off to stand, continuing, "And you don't have the wings to take it."
Hark stood, a hand on his hips.
"And if all you're going to do is apologize, Zenith, why did you even accept?"
He felt terrible, remembering how dazed Hark had looked when he threw him over. Zenith probably deserved that kick, stepping a good distance back to give him room. The joke was almost missed, Zenith giving the other a strange look. Why would his husband- then it clicked and his face went beat red, ears pinning. "H- Hark I- I did not mean to intrude", he stumbled over his words, taking another step back. Zenith just couldn't be pinned. It was a fearful and uncomfortable feeling. Feeling exposed.
It took a moment but he managed to collect himself in time to hear the question. Again he glanced away, "You wanted to spar. It has been a long time since I battled for.. Fun". A long time. Back when Sonic was still alive he would fight him all the time, just for the thrill. But now that wasn't an option anymore. Everyone wanted to kill him back in his world, for the most part.
askimmortallifeform:
Zenith was met with a flat look that could only be asking if he was serious or not. Really? Even Satu was not that much of a puritan.
... Then again, he had ruined that poor guy's mind for the rest of their lives together, he was sure.
"You're not intruding. If you were intruding, I'd be the one blushing."
Before he gave a quick sigh through his nose. The signs of anxiety. He would recognize those from a mile away.
"And I won't kill you. I can't kill you. Unless the circumstances called to it, I will never be able to cause you damage for any reason. I'm not even using my Chaos Powers. You really think that I'd try to endanger your life considering I mauled a man over you?"
>>INQUIRY: MAULED?
... Of course Omega would pipe up.
"... Yes. You know how fear gets to me, Omega."
The lack of answer only made it clear. The robot remembered all too well seeing Hark snap.
Well, considering he only knew the basics of what.. That was. Not to mention he never tried it nor really touched himself to top it all off. His interests did not lie there, not when everyday was a fight for survival. So that look was met with a head sinking between his shoulders, eyes elsewhere.
His gaze was only brought back when the topic went back to the problem at hand. "I know Hark. But it is hard to convince a body otherwise. It is hardwired", a hand reached up to graze the scar across his chest, just bare skin. Normally a wound like that would have healed, but Doom had poisoned him, preventing him from fully recovering. He was lucky skin managed to grow back over the wound.
A deep frown crawled onto his lips as Omega finally spoke up. Hark had killed a man, for him of all people. That person he killed rather savagely probably deserved more than he was getting right now. Yet he died, by trying to kill the problem. His hands went up to rub his arms, ears lowered and uncertain.
askimmortallifeform:
Hark didn't hesitate to approach the young one this time, checking the scar himself. The thing bothered him, didn't it? Just like Feather and his wound. The wound he was half certain it had led them both to meet.
But while he could probably heal it...
"Old habits are hard to break. I know. Not a reason to be scared of it, though.
"And I could heal that. Would take a few hours, but I can. And it would probably hurt like hell, too."
He pulled away after that, looking at Zenith.
"It's not your fault. I don't even think it's mine or is it his. The soldier was scared which triggered me. It's not anyone's fault. Fear just has a way of controlling and bringing out the worst in us. Many of us just let it control us."
Before smiling.
"The true challenge, though, is to not let it take over. And that takes time and courage to do."
Weary eyes glanced up at Hark as he approached, trying to swallow the urge to step away. That did not sound worth the time; hours of pain just to heal something that's scarred over. It was fine and it wasn't like he cared about his attractiveness.
"Yes", was his simple reply, eyes sad. It was fear that seemed to drive a lot of people, especially in his zone. Admittedly it controlled him a lot of the time as well. The fear of loosing the only person he cared about. Well, not anymore. Now he had another person to keep an eye on and he wasn't sure of he was happy with that or not.
A nod, "A lot of time and courage". Something that he wasn't sure he had. He finally made eye contact with Hark, frown thinning, "We can try again. If that's what you wish". He was still uncertain but he wouldn't mind trying again, for the sake of trying to ease up.
askimmortallifeform:
The amount of himself he was seeing of himself in Zenith left him unsure. There were certain things that he wished he would have never seen in anyone but himself.
Because Chaos only knew how much he'd actually wanted to die after the nuclear explosion that had rattled his very core.
"Only if you think you can handle it, Zenith," came the gentle answer that was accompanied with a kind smile. He was always ready. But if Zenith didn't, he would stop.
A weak smile before the fast movement, a leg coming to sweep at Hark's legs. He quickly jumped back a few feet, crouching as his braid moved back and forth behind him. If that wasn't much of an answer he did not know what was.
It had been amusing watch Hark trying to resist at first. It wasn't enough though as he watched him fall asleep soon after with a smile on his face. Zenith stood there for a long moment before allowing his braid to go limp. He moved away and took his pack as well, moving out of the room. The younger hedgehog wasn't sure if staying there would be the best idea. Hark probably needed alone time, without him making a mess of it all.
askimmortallifeform:
Had Zenith stayed in the room, he would have noticed that Hark was actually shifting a lot until his hand found a pillow and he cradled it against himself. As it was, though, Zenith would wait by himself for a few hours, the light of the front door dimming to twilight before any alive sound came from the bedroom.
And another few minutes before Hark came out of said bedroom, looking anxious. Had Zenith left without saying goodbye?
Zenith found himself crouched in front of the front door, staring at the light underneath until he had to look away. Every now and then his acute hearing would catch movement in Hark's room but otherwise it was silent. He brought the pack forward, taking the cape out, only pausing when pink eyes looked over the food. No, he needed to save that, no need to puke again. Carefully he buttoned the cape, testing out the hood. It was very comfortable and he began to relax, body sinking to sit on the ground.
He rested there, eyes closed and hunched over with the cape wrapped around him. The hedgehog hardily noticed Hark stepping out, taking a moment to recognize his presence. Pink eyes appeared from under the hood, looking curiously up at the other, "Did you sleep well?"
askimmortallifeform:
All Zenith would be met with in the beginning was a slight scowl before Hark chuckled, shaking his head. Seemed the kid was hell bent on trying to scare him, whether be it intentional or not.
Although, he did notice something different. Zenith was sitting. Not crouching, sitting. No need to spring to his feet to run here. And the boy was definitely getting some much needed rest.
"Don't scare me like that," was said with a smile as he went for the stove, lighting one of the burners before pulling out a saucepan from the fridge and putting it there. He was glad the kid hadn't left yet. That meant he liked it here.
"And I have. Although any reason you're by the front door?"
This was probably the moment he'd have to explain that no one was in the garden, was it?
The scowl was noted and Hark was given a frown in return. Had he made the other angry? It all turned into confusion when ears perked to catch the chuckle. Either way he stood as the hedgehog approached, watching him pass to head for the kitchen. "I apologize. That was not my intention", he murmured, picking up the pack and following.
Taking a seat on a stool, he watched Hark take a pan out, curious as to what he might be making. The question was almost missed, the hedgehog blinking up at Hark. "Oh, I was simply watching the time", a shrug as he glanced at the door again. "Is it night?"
askimmortallifeform:
The original chuckle now turned into laughter as Hark turned to look at Zenith, trying to suppress the mirth.
"You tell me not to call you a child, but you've obviously taken a liking in my taking care of you and you're impatient. You sure you don't want to revise that statement?"
He kept on chuckling as he checked the pot, glad that it was warming up okay.
"Should be close, though. Want to meet with my sparring partner?"
The laughter got a bewildered look from Zenith, ears falling back. This man's sense of humor was strange, what in the world could he be laughing about now? His question was soon answered, earning a flustered growl as he turned away from the other, red. "I can leave right now", came a retort as he slid off the chair. It did no good to push that in his face, already feeling guilty of giving in. Not to mention, being called a child irritated him to no end, no matter how true it might be.
He only turned back to glance over at Hark when he asked a question, still frowning. But it did falter, ears perking with interest. Zenith was eager to meet this sparring partner, one of the main reasons he'd sat in front of the door, waiting for nightfall. If it was who he thought it was though, he may crack. It had been so long since he last saw Omega..
askimmortallifeform:
And Hark laughter dropped the moment Zenith slid out of his chair, making him reach for the younger one. He knew that Zenith would take this the wrong way. And it was probably best to explain.
"Zenith, it's fine. I'm not sure it'll mean anything, but, for all my age, I still act like a child. I even feel like one to, certainly with another alternate of ours. She's sweet, a mother figure, and, in her hands, I just melt because I know I can depend on her.
"The point is, there's no shame in being dependent. While I look independent, Zenith, I'm not. I depend on a lot of people to keep me strong. And it's fine. No one is a mountain, Zenith. And a pillar that stands alone always crumbles. I'd know that, I was there."
Hark reached for Zenith, and placed a hand on his cheek.
"There's no shame in being dependent, Zenith. No one should face their problems alone."
Those ears soon dropped again as Hark spoke, a hand going to grab his other arm. It had been a joke and he knew that but it was a topic that seemed to bite harder than others. He slowly turned, refusing to lift his gaze for the moment. His eyes only flickered up when he felt a hand on his cheek, staring up at Hark with an uneasy look.
No, there was nothing wrong with being dependent. But that was for little ones that could not fend for themselves. So it was a little strange to hear Hark say he was a bit dependent. Especially since Hark had been taking care of him the whole time. The hedgehog heaved a sigh, taking his hood off. "I apologize", came the mumble, seeing a point to what Hark was stating. But even so, he seemed more dependent than what was normal and that would continue to bug him.
askimmortallifeform:
The answer got a comforting smile and a gentle pet along the cheek before Hark slowly let go, turning back to his cooking.
After a minute, another tall glass of warm, sweetened milk was served to Zenith before Hark let his mind wander while thinking out loud.
"There is one thing that's starting to bother me, though. Why is everyone taller? I'm starting to feel like a goddamn shrimp," he mumbled while checking the upstairs, eyes towards the ceiling.
The next words were louder.
"How do you deal with twilight?"
Without his own consent he found himself leaning into the pet along his cheek, relaxed. He only straightened once the other let go, blinking as if out if a daze. Awkwardly he retook the seat on the stool, hands intertwined as he waited. Ears perked as a glass was served and almost timidly he pulled it closer to him.
Just as he went to take a sip of his milk Hark's comment earn a choked laugh, quickly placing the glass down as he coughed. There was a large smirk crawling on his muzzle, "I was not this tall to start out with if that makes you feel any better". Another light chuckle, an actual smile that Zenith hardily felt plastered to his lips.
That smile only faded a bit at the next question, Zenith directing his gaze upwards as well. "Can not see well but I can still keep my eyes open. May have to squint", he mumbled, focus brought back to the glass he had in his hand.
askimmortallifeform:
Catching the instinctual behavior and the chuckle was easy, and Hark was reminded of Satu, certainly with the way Zenith was acting.
The kid was definitely somewhere in the middle of everything he had met so far, and Hark was sure that he would evolve into something even stronger than all of them combined.
He passed the island and reached for Zenith, scratching right in the middle of the ears with a fond smile, chuckling as he heard the joke and not missing the smile as he let go.
"You got a nice smile, you know that?" he said before listening the explanation, nodding.
"And alright, we'll head for the tree section, then. Should be dark enough for you to handle."
If Hark wouldn't stop soon with all those loving scratches he may find Zenith a muddle. Ears twitched to the sides as he yet again leaned into the contact without even knowing it. Though as soon as Hark let up Zenith snapped out of it to catch the complement. His cheeks grew a shade of pink. He'd been smiling? He hadn't even felt it, it had been so natural.
That smile faltered, once again being proven that he was happy here, with Hark. Happier than he had been for the longest time. It was going to be painful to leave..
A nod at the suggestion, Zenith timidly bringing the glass back to his lips to consume the rest of the milk he'd been given. Easily it was finished, sighing contently as the empty glass was placed on the counter.
askimmortallifeform:
Once Zenith was done, Hark went for the door, asking the younger one to follow. And the light was a lot lower than Zenith would remember it being. The sun couldn't be seen and, with the direction Hark was taking, they would avoid most of it as the trees covered the light.
They got close to a water fall which Hark headed behind of, and came back out with a smile a huge robot following him. And, although the robot was green, it was Omega's voice tone that came out of it.
>>GREETINGS SHADOW ALTERNATE ZENITH. I AM OMEGA E-123. APOLOGIES FOR THE EARLIER SCARE. THIS UNIT HAS REPROGRAMMED ITSELF TO ENSURE YOUR SAFETY.
There was a wave from the robot as they stepped into the trees, Omega almost reaching the top while holding out a four fingered hand out.
As soon as he saw Hark moving towards the door, Zenith eagerly followed, leaving the cape behind with his pack. Though he did slow to a halt as the door was opened, hiding as much as he could in the darkness of the house. Luckily it wasn't as bad as the time he originally ran outside but it did not make him any less cautious. He quickly followed Hark, sticking close to his side as they moved towards a waterfall.
He stopped by the waterfall, mouth ajar as he crouched by the water. It has been a long time since he laid eyes on one of these. Gently he poked the water with a finger, surprised by how clean it was. He missed this, the freshness of nature. Not the unnatural fungus that consumed everything back in that broken city.
Zenith almost forgot about why he was out here in the first place until he heard that familiar voice. His head shot up, staring wide eyed at the robot approaching along side Hark. It was Omega. Yes, he had a bit of a different shape and color but it was him. He backed up into the shade, staring at Omega like a startled feline, fur raised. He did not know what to say, what could he say? As soon as a metal hand was extended Zenith moved forward and hugged the robot tightly as his shoulders shook.
askimmortallifeform:
Hark had been unable to modify Omega as much as he would have liked, may it be emotional or simply because the robot refused, he hadn't been able to.
But he had modified quite a number of features, the primary one being the eyes since Omega wanted more display freedom.
So it was an LED display that looked at Hark, a questioning look on it as Zenith shook. Shook and cried as Omega awkwardly patted the boy's back. And Hark neared the two, putting yet another hand there.
"Zenith, are you alright?"
There was a quiet sob, moist cheeks rubbing against metal. It did not help when he felt the robotic hand pat his back as he clung. He missed that voice, the voice that had died a long time ago. His Omega had vanished after a huge drop from one of the larger buildings. It was one that would have surely ended him as soon as he hit the ground. Zenith had not been there but heard the news from Rouge who had blamed his death on him. For not being there when the world needed him most.
At Hark's question he came back to reality, one where his Omega was gone and the one he was clinging to was simply an alternate of him. Awkwardly he let go, rubbing his eyes to clear the mist. "Yes, just- I miss him", he murmured, pink eyes trailing up to meet Omega's LED display. "I apologize Omega E-123. I did not mean to intrude on your space".
askimmortallifeform:
The hand was moved away from Zenith's back as Hark backed up, knowing how that felt too well. To miss someone or just feel alone could devastating.
So this one wasn't his to deal with. This one was Omega's. And, by the smiley face Omega was doing, he understood that very well.
>>YOU HAVE NOT TRANSGRESSED ANY SPACE. AND PLEASE, CALL THIS UNIT OMEGA. APOLOGIES FOR ANY BAD MEMORIES.
A mechanical hand hit Zenith's shoulder gently.
Surprise was evident on his face as he noted the smiley face icon on Omega. He took a shaky breath, trying not to let the sob surface again. Zenith offered his own smile, much weaker in form but a smile non the less. "Omega it is then. Do not apologize. It is just hard", another shaky sigh as he messages his temple. He had to stop crying in front of the robot, it was probably awkward for it.
A good few blinks and the most went away, Zenith clearing his throat. "So you are Hark's sparring partner? Do you think I might have a chance against you?" A challenging smirk, hoping to get his mind off the past. After all, if he remembered correctly Omega liked a good challenge.
askimmortallifeform:
Omega was glad that Zenith was calming down, still having no idea how to deal with crying people, even after Satu.
But he guessed it didn't matter, did it? Certainly with the road this conversation was taking.
A hearty laugh came from Omega as Hark decided to perch himself in a tree. This ought to be interesting.
>>VERY FUNNY. HARK CAN BARELY KEEP UP WITH THIS UNIT AND HE ALLUDED TO THE FACT THAT YOU ARE FRAGILE. THIS UNIT WOULD RATHER NOT SEND YOU SOARING INTO A TREE.
Hark merely chuckled, watching the conversation unfold.
The laugh earned a pout from Zenith, hands going to cup his hips. That was a neat feature, never heard a robot laugh before. But even so he did not like the intent behind it. Underestimated yet again. The frown was soon directed up at Hark who had somehow gotten himself up the tree like a squirrel.
"Fragile? Hark why are you telling this unit lies?" A smirk up at the hedgehog as he took a step forward. "Then let me demonstrate my good friend", before he grabbed Omega's torsos and lifted him right into the air. It was a bit hard, considering this alternate was larger than average. But after a good moment he tossed the bot a good foot away. Nothing hard, at least not yet.
