Still it wasn’t pleasing, it didn’t make matters better at all. Annoyed, the liquids form jerked up, snapping around to view the visitor. Escape was obviously on his mind, but the hedgehog could possibly pursue with his own powers. To answer that, Chaos thoughtless threw a wave of offensive energy before haphazardly amassing enough power to warp away whilst that was dealt with.

[This was relief.

The only reason he’d taken this job was the shade he was expecting in a wooded area, but the unexpected rainstorm cooled him off far more than the treetops alone. Perhaps it would even serve to clean him off some. Bark’s left arm was still in a sling. His chest was still bandaged, and his body still bruised. Working efficiently was impossible, so for now, only jobs involving collection, and retrieval would work.

...But a short break couldn’t hurt.

He sits down, right then and there. In the middle of the walkway. There was plenty of time for getting the job done, he would have never taken an impromptu break if there wasn’t. A polar bear didn’t mix well with summer, not without some ice to lie down on. In warmer regions, there was hardly any to be found, save for those tiny cubes.

The water would do, for now.

It likely wasn’t wise of him to be sitting out in the open like this, but at current moment, Bark wasn’t thinking about this. He was a bear desperate to cool off, evident in the way he uses his good hand to take off his sopping scarf, and rub it against his own head.]

No rest for the wicked, would have playfully pointed lien-da; but if smirking she did, the joke did not come out.

Hark was far from wicked, and she was far from being the greatest jester of all time.... she slowly closed in the distance between them, a stair at a time. nothing was rushing,after all, hark having an eternety, and herself...

Well, she was an echidna... she would outlive a LOT of people, much to her own dismay.

fortunaly, she was hardly here to speak of any kind of existancial crisis the two of them must have had at a given time...

A soft huff, and a shaking fist led the turquoise hedgehog to the stairs of a rather impressive castle. There was a hesitant knock from said fist before it quickly fell to his side, opposite hand clutching a piece of paper with hastily written notes on it. After all, he couldn’t have taken his father’s journal without him knowing.

He shifted his weight in uncertainty as he waited for someone to answer the door, not aware of who this ‘Hark’ was, but aware that there was a problem between him and his father. Slung around his shoulder was a knapsack, stuffed with not only things for his travel, but a package written from his father with a tag of the opposite’s name on it. He wasn’t sure what the nature of the gift was, but he hoped and prayed that it wasn’t some sort of steaming pile of crap.

He wouldn’t put it past him.

He’d come to try to see what the hostility was between the two. He hadn’t read as much of his father’s journal as he could have -- and admittedly, he half regretted that due to the nagging curiosity of what else was in there -- but he knew that, according to his father, words had been misconstrued and tensions between the two were high after he’d welcomed the other into their home. Well, here went nothing. He stood up straight and pulled down his vest to avoid any wrinkles, making his best attempt to look professional as he allowed a small, friendly smile to appear.
