"Listen, you go get the drink and I’ll find the spot in which to drink it, alright?" Adrian flashed her his usual cocky smile.
"Fine, shouldn’t take me too long to find it." Melissa responded back quickly enough before turning to walk off. After a few steps, she spun back with her tongue between her teeth in a smile and tossed him a wink to go with it. He knew she’d have no problem finding the liquor.
Adrian watched the girl bounce off, her bright highlights standing out, reflecting the sunlight that shone above him. He’d been enjoying sharing a shore leave with Melissa. She was an interesting girl to say the least, and surprisingly easy to talk to. He usually flirted with girls, it was natural more often than not. He watched her till she was out of sight, then set about his own task; looking for a clear spot in this crowded park. He usually had shore leave on his own, which meant he was lonely most of the time… but he was enjoying this time around. He liked spending time with Mellow, a nickname he’d somehow stumbled upon. He didn’t use it all that frequently to her face, but in his thoughts that was how he thought of her. It was surprising just how much she was in his thoughts. Huh.
