I have a couple of questions: 1) Do you enjoy a specific web work (web comic/fan fiction)? 2) Have you ever considered becoming a full-time illustrator?
1) I was kind of influenced by the web comic Caribbean Blue, which unfortunately has already concluded. I’m not really currently following any works closely, but my wife is a big fan of Gunnerkrigg Court, and I read a good part of it, and I am fascinated by its formula that sort of combines a Neil Gaiman sensibility with a Harry Potter-like setting. It’s definitely something that I can recommend.
2) Well... I kind of consider myself one already. I mean, other than assisting my family and taking care of our place, it’s the only productive thing that I do. I’m just really slow and not good at passing off a professional vibe as many freelance illustrators do, I suppose. Sometimes I feel that there is just so much that goes into that, and that I’m just no longer able to wrap my head around all of it.
