I'm in somebody's house! Don't worry, they can't see me. They're watching TV hnn! Wow....there's a cat here. Didn't see you there furrba--why are you looking at me like that...? I think this pussycat wants a piece of Jack Frost!!! I am not food!
PacaMun got bored and decided to write fanfiction of the PacaJack variety!
So when the world was given cold winds, frosted windows, and blankets of snow, the little spirit who worked all that magic was tired. Jack Frost was a busy alpaca but he loved it. He had nothing else to do and snow was his favorite thing in the world. But being so busy had it's drawbacks; all that work could make anybody tired and it could also make no time to rest.
Sometimes he didn't sleep. And that was okay because he rather leap around from house to house, frosting rooftop shingles than lay around. And sometimes he did and that was okay too cause after a few days he'd have to boost his energy and nap which meant he could be in tip top shape the next day or so to bound around some more.
The only thing he hated was trying to find some place /to/ sleep.
"Why couldn't I come with a home?" Jack asked under a hushed breath. It was night once more and he was tired. He did some extra frosting in Canada and hadn't sleep in days. The little alpaca was now walking along the forest, dragging his staff along with his teeth across the snow-covered ground. With a glance to the moon above, he sighed. There was no point in asking the moon anything; it never paid attention to him as far as he knew. He was just another alpaca lost in the sea of everybody else on Earth.
He looked around, trying to find someplace he could cush down for the night. Despite being the spirit of winter and cold, Jack didn't exactly like sleeping in it. Sure he could but for an alpaca who was always moving about, he found it hard to stay asleep in it. The cozy feeling of warmth was something he enjoyed to put him to sleep. Too much and wasn't good but just a little and he would get drowsy enough to have dreamy fluffthoughts.
Finally a small little dwelling made itself known to Jack's eyes and he bounded to it with what energy he had left. It was deep, perfect to escape the cold. A little hum left his lips as he traveled further back. The deeper he went, the darker it was and warmer too.
Jack plopped himself down once he found a nice spot. "Just a snooze for the night and then I'll make snow in Aussie woolly buns warren hnn!" He laughed and hummed in delight at such an idea on how to ruffle the Easter Alpaca's wool. He started to close his eyes and lay his head down, his body ready for extreme snoozing.
Snore.
He opened an eye. Surely that wasn't him. It was too early to wake up to himself snoring. He blamed the wind blowing a playful gust outside. He tutted at the wind and tried to go back to sleep.
Snore.
Now that was not the wind! Jack hopped up with a short burst of energy to the sound coming from behind him. Brown fur, big nose, and claws to add to the big body before him was all he could process. The eyes of the sleeping beast were closed and it was still snoring but Jack still froze in shock and fear. He had never seen a bear up this close and he knew why he didn't want to in the first place.
"This must be it's den then." He concluded. It was deep, dark, and warm so it was obvious it was the perfect place to rest. The alpaca had no idea what to do. He just stepped into it's lair and while it was asleep, the thing could snap if woken. He saw what they did when awake and he didn't want to stain the snow with red, especially not with his own blood.
Slowly and quietly, Jack backed out of the cave, carrying his cane carefully in his mouth so not to touch the ground. His little hooves barely made a sound as they clanked against the stone floor. He looked back to see the light coming from outside of the mouth of the cave and he grinned. Almost there~!
But he was not watching where he was going and in that moment, his hooves scraped across a loose rock, making it scuffle along the floor. The alpaca froze till it stopped and laid still once more. Looking at the bear it was unmoving, still asleep, unaware of the rock and him. He sighed with relief.
His sigh sent a cold chill to the back of the cave, a small snowflake formed along with it. It's delicate design fluttered along the escaped sigh and reached the bear's nose. It's landing made the nose twitch and a paw swiped at it. Eyes opened at the sudden, chilling disturbance and blinked. And the black eyes spotted the fluffy, white alpaca standing in it's den.
Jack automatically turned around and started to run. The bear growled behind him and charged, angry over the intrusion. "The day I want to go to sleep, I get attacked! I hate bears!" Little hooves scraped against the ground furiously as he ran to the entrance. The light coming from the moon of night...oh how he loved it more than ever as he trekked across the rays on the floor.
As he made it out of the cave, he didn't stop. He could hear the bear coming after him, roaring it's heart out. The snow made it hard to run through so he had to bound through the thick parts; wasn't a problem though cause he was the best snow bounder ever. Still, the bear was fast and determined to catch up with him.
He ducked through tree branches, trunks and roots as he was chased. His staff made it hard to run through some areas where trees got in the way but he managed. The sound of the bear was so loud and it crashed through whatever was in his way like it was no big deal.
Suddenly Jack saw a log come in his view. He was starting to get tired, his lack of sleep catching up. Would he make the jump? He had no time to bound a different way so mustering up all the energy he had he jumped. And he jumped high!
So high that he remained in the air while the bear below snarled and reared up on it's hind legs.
"Oh yeah! I can fly hnn!" He felt so embarrassed that he forgotten such an ability at such a much needed time. Jack watched as the bear glared at him from below. He escaped the bear and had all his wool to prove it too. He stuck his tongue out at the beast and flew away.
After a while, Jack landed in an abandon farm house where he immediately went to lay down (checking for any residents first). He was so tired that he fell asleep instantly the moment his head touched the floor. So tired he didn't even get up to bug Bunny the next day.
He pouted and then flew off. But he came back rolling a big ball of snow. "If you're gonna sit like a bum then you should at least do something! So I brought the fun to you hnn!" He grinned as he rolled another one on top of the bigger ball.
Jack managed a small smile. "..Thanks," he said with a slight chuckle, using his staff to help the process along.
I guess everybody makes resolutions when a new year arrives. I normally don't make them, the one I kept making never came true until this year!
My resolution to be seen has finally been completed and it only took 318 years to do it hnn!
My only resolutions for this year would be to continue to make snow that is fun and cold but not dangerous (much), stay on the nice list, and be the best guardian I can be hnn!
Oh yeah and finally try to make PacaBunny (or any of the other Easter kangaroos) get his tongue stuck to a pole or something hnn! eue
