*Steve had been up for at least two days at this point. He did his best to help around when he could, but he mostly stayed in the room with beetle, or out with starling, both playing with her and also making sure she doesn't blow up something or someone.*

*he was in the little room turned small playroom for starling, where starling stacked triangle blocks on top of each other as best as she could. She would also pick up a yellow one from time to time and insist upon giving it to Steve. He was at least holding 2, with a little star shaped plush thing that had been obviously made by Mabel*

*then, from the room over, where beetle was currently passed out, he heard movement. Creaking, a soft groan, and the sounds of a broken mannequin objecting to movement.*
