Okay, someone had definitely had enough gin. Jasper carefully plucked the bottle off the coffee table making sure to press a kiss against Cassandra's forehead on the way by to hopefully distract her from the fact he was confiscating her alcohol.

And then her question hit him like a truck out of nowhere.

His first instinct was to simply reply with "what"? It was the first thing that came to his mind. After a few seconds to let the sheer weirdness of the question wash over him, Jasper chuckled and replied:

"Maybe not on another planet but sure. Somewhere two birds are going at it. Like, all or nothing."

Jasper's head was still ringing from the sound of the explosion. Damn elvhen ruins. He'd heard the warning too late that the place might be trapped to keep people like him and the Inquisition out.

He felt the plate under his foot depress and immediately realised that he had fucked up.

They say that when presented with danger it is a choice between flight or fight. That was not true. Instead of doing either Jasper froze, as if by not moving he could trick the trap into believing it had not been activated. It was useless and he smelt something like rotten eggs before suddenly the air ignited. In the split second before the world was seemingly engulfed in flames, he saw movement in the corner of his eye and suddenly he was yanked backwards, losing his balance and taking him and whoever had pulled him to the floor in a crumpled heap of limbs. Heat licked at his back and instinctively he covered his head with his hands to protect it but heat was all he felt. No pain. No burning. Just intense heat and that was there and gone in an instant.

When he looked up again, Daylen had his hand outstretched and he could see the faint shimmer of a magical barrier. He'd almost ended up with his head in Daylen's lap of all places. Not exactly a terrible place to be but not really appropriate for this exact moment in time.

And then Daylen spoke and Jasper felt a flush rise in his cheeks. A feat in itself. He coughed awkwardly, pushing himself up so he was sitting rather than lying on top of the other man.

"Thank you, Daylen."

Jasper: Absolutely. He experiences phantom limb in the form of his left hand being incredibly itchy. He has scratched at his prosthetic hoping to trick his brain into thinking he has dealt with it.

Cullen: I could see that being true. After so long having it, it feels weird to him that its not there in his pocket and he can't run his thumb over it (as a result one side of his coin is much more worn than the other). He would probably try a few things to break the habit before giving up.

Serra: She is a tomboy at heart but I could see that being true for a modern!AU Serra...especially if she has a significant other and she wants to tease them. The irony of her being a bisexual in denial and that song is completely lost on her.

Merrill: 1000% she does. They also are all either very cutesy names or Elvhen names. So you have Mr Fluffypants alongside Vher'gra (red cat).

As if Jasper needed the instruction. Any coherent thoughts in his head completely evaporated the moment Cassandra slipped out of his grasp and relocated herself between his legs. The teasing smile she gave him stopped him from reaching to pull her back.

Well, that and he knew she was about to rock his world.

Even just the feeling of her breath on his cock made him twitch. She’d trained him well. Her smile only grew and for a brief moment a note of fear crept in. One day she would do what she threatened and have him completely undone in under a minute but he hoped that day wasn’t today.

But she could.

Instead her tongue trailed a slow path from base to tip. Jasper felt himself physically shaking with the urge to grab her head and press into her mouth. His fingers fisted in the sheets instead and the breath that came out of him shuddered because she hadn’t moved from that sensitive spot right under the head.

He was going to have a lipstick stain there and he loved that thought.
