1. what are three shows in your watchlist that you’ve been meaning to get to?

oh this is an interesting one! well, i've been told by... 5 different people i think by now, that i should get into fullmetal alchemist, so it's been on my watchlist for a few months now (i just don't like the idea of entering a story that has two different canons so idk how i'll deal with that). i have to catch up with severance now that the long awaited season 2 is finally here, obviously. and third, i have yet to round up my downton abbey watch and watch the two movies!

7. what color dominates your closet?

i'm going to be boring af and give you the answer most people probably give: black. a close second would be dark green tho, and third would be "multicolored mess" as that describes a whole bunch of my clothes as well. it's a spectrum, and i've decided i'm all over it, okay??

46. what’s the last thing a friend recommended to you that you looked into and actually liked?

oh this was over a year ago now, but i'm gonna go with yuri on ice (and "actually liked" is the understatement you know it is when it comes to me and how much i love that anime, amirite), which @dont-f-with-moogles recommended for a few months before i gave it a try and never regretted lmao

16. describe your favorite hoodie. how long have you had it? what makes it unique?

a very large band hoodie, that a situationship let me borrow to get back home one day when i was a teenager. it's unique bc it's warm but not too much so i can wear it all year long, bc it's still comfortable literally 15 years later, and bc i still love that band so i'm still proud to own it. also this guy met kind of a tragic end, which makes that hoodie even more precious to me because it's like a memory of him now.

20. what kind of math are you best at?

LMAO NONE. i can handle basic statistics because i have no choice but to understand and use those in my job/research endeavours, but that's all. i hate math. if that wasn't clear.

22. iced or hot drinks?

hot!!! my preference is for cold weather in general (like, by a milestome compared to hot temps), and there's nothing i like more than being at the window/in the backyard, holding a hot drink to warm up my hands while there's smoke coming up from it as its warmth clashes with like, dry cold weather 🥰

26. can you cook or bake? if so, what are some of your specialties?

yes! i think i'm pretty good at both, i like baking so much more since i have a sweet tooth but i don't have a lot of space or time for it so i cook more often since well, a birl's gotta eat. i don't really have like signature dishes, i like to try new recipes often to vary and the menu will change depending on the season and what fruits/vegatables i have available as locally as possible. ig you could say my main specialty would be tricking my gf into eating (and appreciating) vegetables in general and meat-free meals in particular, because that's a daily challenge x)

35. describe your favorite stuffed animal, either now or from when you were a kid.

i had a cloud plushie when i was a baby, that i loved dearly and kept for years and years. these days, i have a lil koala that keeps away the nightmares whenever i feel particularly vulnerable.

49. what’s your favorite thing to do when it’s raining?

talking a walk outside if it's not like actively pouring down, and stopping at a café to have a drink if they're not too crowded by people seeking refuge from the rain. this kind of weather usually empties the streets, and in a big city like the one i live in that's always something i appreciate x)

50. describe your perfect sleeping conditions

well, that would be with my furbaby sleeping next to me, which has been impossible for two weeks now. i haven't really slept a full night since then as a result lol

18. what’s one historical event that you would have liked to have witnessed?

if i have to pick only one, i would have loved to be there in 1975 (almost exactly 50 years ago, as it was jan 17th) when abortion was officially decriminalized here. considering the threat to women's (and other minorities) rights that have been getting worse in many countries in the past few years, i feel it's important to remember how recent and fragile those accomplishments are...

19. what’s your favorite halloween costume from when you were a kid?

i don't have many memories of dressing up as a kid, sorry! i did as a teen and adult like for parties and stuff, but we don't really celebrate Halloween that much where i grew up 🥖

8. do you collect anything? if so, what?

oh boy, do i ever: magnets from places i travel, figurines of characters i love, seashells i find pretty (in places where it's allowed to pick them up), pretty rocks (in places where it's allowed to pick them up), marbles (but i use them for baking/cooking so that's okay actually!!), funny pens even when they're empty, candles (i don't.. have an excuse for that one, i don't even use them jfc), cute or funny hair scrunchies (you may think that's okay, but i've had short hair more often than i should for someone with that collection).... there's more, that's literally only the things i can actually spot from where i'm sitting right now

9. what sounds or scents calm you down?

my cat's smell used to but we're not thinking about that, so let's go with.. the smell of a cake baking in the oven (funnily enough even when i struggled more with my ED, that was always a comforting scent) and of course old books!! hand sanitizer also, which i blame on my job x)

32. if you could dye your hair any color, regardless of how you think it would look, what color would you choose?

the one color i haven't done yet is orange (whether natural or like a neon shade of it), because it wouldn't suit my skintone, but otherwise i've been pretty experimental with hair colors! going to change it up soon speaking of (but not for orange hehe)

39. what was the best part of your day today?

i did a little painting today, which helped me feel a little better.

45. do you have good handwriting?

compared to most of my colleagues, yes, but compared to most people, i don't think so. i mean i struggle to reread my own handwritten notes ffs

16. Describe your favorite hoodie. How long have you had it? What makes it unique?

I love all hoodies equally. I don’t currently have an emotional support hoodie. I’m sure I will soon. If I had to pick a current favorite, it would be the most recent one that Alyse got me. It’s light blue and has little Squirtles in sunglasses embroidered on it.

I love smoothies! You can do so much with them. Also gives me a good excuse to use my blender!

25. Do you have any piercings or tattoos? Are there any that you want?

I have double holes in my ears, and a hoop in my lip.

I have three tattoos. An outline of a cat on my forearm, a sunflower on my shoulder, and hearts on my ankle. I hate getting tattooed. My body goes all fight or flight mode and I end up passing out usually. But I’d like to get a few more, mainly a Lexacoon and a fine-line paper crane.
