Does Lando want to win or does he want it to be easy? It cannot be both

The implication that lando is whining about wanting an ‘easy’ win like he didn’t fight for every hard earned podium and win in his career, most of them in a midfield car. Oh, jail for you, anon🔪

What lando wants is a team who doesnt actively make things harder for him. Lets count them shall we?

Teammate knocks him out. No points. No race pace data.

Hence forced to pick a safe strategy and start with mediums instead of softs.

No pit stop priority. Because repercussions.

Reminding the half asleep pit wall to pit him.

3.8s pit stop that undid ALL his hard work against leclerc. Back to square one at p3.

Again fighting for p2 with 6 lap old softs when 3 lap old softs were collecting dust in the garage.

No it was not easy. That battle took everything out of him. That p2 was hard earned. He could be fighting for p1 if the team didn’t make things unnecessarily difficult for him, instead of you know, being on top form. Mind you, he has been driving a difficult car that does not work with his driving style and is very unpredictable/ inconsistent at qualifying all year.

We will never know what that second stint would have brought if the whole weekend and pitstop weren’t so messy. Maybe lando could be fighting for p1 since he dunked a 7s delta on leclerc after overtaking him. He had the speed. Max basically won without any challenge or on track battle with lando or leclerc. So did max win or did he have it ‘easy’? Somehow it feels both. He earned that win, but it was easy, no?

Lando ain’t the victim yall try and make him out to be

He has been the target of an unbelievable amount of hate from many f1 fans based on things as little as politely declining a damn rubber ducky, getting heckled on golf sponsor events unrelated to f1, getting told to off himself on ig comments on his birthday to many seriously deranged things. He constantly gets criticised for things that max and piastri get praised for. People are always intentionally misrepresenting his words to shit on him. Wishing for his downfall and making hate posts about him is very popular on social media right now. Maybe you think that its normal for a person to be subjected to a colossal level of hate but I don’t.

I don’t think he’s a victim but I do think McLaren is a very toxic workplace where he’s stuck following their ‘rules’. Is it normal for a driver to have to face ‘repercussions’ for a racing incident? Does this sound like a healthy workplace talk to you? I also cannot stand the McLaren team management or the way they talk about him. Maybe you’ve fallen for their ‘we are a family’ bullshit but if you pay attention to their behaviour, you would see how filthy they are.

I don’t have the energy to continue explaining what a shitshow this year has been so go away.

The same Lando that couldn’t overtake Max today and he had multiple opportunities to do so. But yes, you finally got your cunty golden boy back. Maybe he can finally surpass Oscar who has been driving like ass but still leading the championship. Can’t wait to see what happens in the end and see if your cards can predict that

Are you deliberately being stupid about technical things related to the track or does it come naturally with being a lando hater? Max said it first on the interview that overtaking was impossible on a track like this, then lando said the same thing. And I asked my cards, they called you a sulking bitch. I don't know how you feel about it, but personally I literally dont even doubt lando. He CAN do it. He needs to outperform the other two by what, two points next weekend or something and he wins? He can absolutely do this.

I saw so many lando fans saying that it's over cause of this DSQ? To be honest he's still leading by 24 points, which isn't bad at all. What is your opinion on Lando's chances?

Hi! Tbh I don’t fault a lot of lando fans for crashing out and blowing this dsq out of proportion. This championship has had me suffering major headloss most of this year. But not because of lando. I wouldn’t pay attention to the fans being negative as everyone’s being dramatic.

As for how I feel? Honestly a dnf like zandvoort hurt harder because the points gap blew wide open. But right now lando is still leading, almost comfortably, which is a luxury we didn’t have in the past!

Forget last lap lando because at this point he’s basically THEE comeback guy to me. Lets look at every time this guy has suffered a setback—

In 2024, after austria crash and hungary loss, he won zandvoort by nearly 20 seconds. Again after shit luck in baku and monza, he won Singapore. He led every lap, got pole and win, short of fastest lap, he could’ve gotten a grand slam. To me, that was my first taste of this new lando who unlocked something new inside him and set him apart from the rest of the grid. And qatar? Ohhhh I’m bouncing with excitement to see what he has in store. I’m convinced he never forgets his worse and dying to reclaim the past shit experiences. He’s using every tragic moment as fuel to guide him. Next we have abu dhabi. Now I think this race itself should prove to all nervous lando fans that he shows up when it counts the most. Pressure? What is that?

This year, he has levelled up stratospherically. There’s a quiet confidence in him that I don’t think some journalist with mean intentions, a bad crash, or DSQ can rattle him. I see a driver stepping into his best form, finding his rhythm and a hunger to get what he sets his eye on.

So yeah his chances are good. Max and piastri should be scared because when lando is motivated, he’s gonna make shit happen. Look at brazil this year.

Lando not being able to hold P1 at T1 at most races last year was not McLaren’s fault.

Andrea stella confirmed that there was a problem with starting the car and in a lot of races where he lost the lead, that happened.

I can promise you lando has a history of GREAT starts and a competitive, quick reaction time. This problem and the ‘bottling’ memes started only with mcl38. They have resolved it since and you would notice that with races like Singapore and abu dhabi last year; all races where he got the pole except spa this year, HE KEPT THE LEAD. In austria where they did the start twice, he managed to hold off charles and oscar both times. Same for monaco. In Australia, he managed to hold off max very well. In Hungary this year he had a great start but was blocked by oscar and reacted accordingly. In monza he took the lead from max (my favourite 🤩 move of the race) but lost the lead after the quicker redbull over took him.

I’m not gonna single anyone out but the way they *talk* about him is so baffling to me. Acting like lando doesnt deserve an f1 seat. Making very passive aggressive comments about the ‘mctwinks’ racing, crashing and ‘finally’ making the championship entertaining. Making funny posts about hoping bad things to happen to lando as a punchline. Saying when lando expresses his emotions, its the equivalent to having the emotional intelligence of some teenager or some odd shit. Some norstappen fans straight up drooling/ begging/ mocking for lando when he’s upset or close to crying.

They have an odd second hand superiority complex where any driver who is not max must suck ass. Every time lando loses track position at lap 1 or complains on radio, they say ‘well max would never have done that’, ‘max would already be a wdc by now’. (I used to come across some of those blogs—trust, they are blocked now.) I could go on but you get the idea.

Again do whatever you want on your niche f1 blog. I’m just curious who the fuck bit these fools’ asses to elicit this contempt?

Same on other f1 fan pages. On reddit they are victimising piastri, saying lando is the worst thing to happen to f1 and is favoured by zak and andrea. Complete degenerate behaviour. Yelling in an echo chamber about how everyone and everything sucks. The discourse is so abysmal there. No way fans enjoy going there? Whatever I was silly enough to break my rule of checking out reddit.
