Are you deliberately being stupid about technical things related to the track or does it come naturally with being a lando hater? I got a friend request from someone out of the blue, and am not entirely sure whether or not to accept it because I haven't the first clue as to the etiquette involved, or how the whole 'friends' thing actually works. I did try googling it but didn't find anything remotely useful...

Any advice and/or hints would be greatly appreciated.

I can tell you what I do?

I bop over to their account to see if they tend to watch the kinds of things I watch and review (mostly BL) and accept or reject based on that.

But honestly, that's what I do on Tumblr too. I visit new followers (with icons) and see if they tend to

create original content and

talk/repost (stuff I haven't seen before) about BL,

because that is the only reason I am on tumblr so I follow back based on how that person will change my feed. (I unfollow on the same principals.)

So if one of my moots suddenly becomes obsessed with... oh I don't know Enhyphen or some other 4th gen Kpop group, I just unfollow them. I've no compunction about why I exist on this platform and tailor it to my own amusement and enjoyment.

Also this explains why I might be happily chatting away with another account for months in my comments without realizing I’ve never friended them, especially is they have a place-holder icon. 

I recommend you do the same. Follow back. friend back, if they seem interesting and share your interests.
