Both possibilities are perfectly acceptable! You may both:

1) Submit your gift to this blog at any time, where we will "@" your partner upon publication (somewhere from dec 23-9)

2) Post it to your own blog (somewhere from dec 23-9) and "@" and/or tag us and your partner as well

Hello, I've not participated in this exchange before and I have a few questions - do attendees get to ask for what they'd like made/drawn/written for them or do you just get whatever your partner makes you? If someone makes a physical object (like a sculpture) is it okay to ask for a mailing address? Also, is there any kind of "quality control"? I've unfortunately been in exchanges before where I worked hours on my part but only received a last-minute doodle from my partner, or nothing at all :/

I’ll try to address your questions as best as I can!

If attendees would like to relay specific interests to their partners, I suppose we could act as an in between and let them know for you; send us a message if that’s what you’d like to do! Of course part of the fun is being surprised, but considering we’re allowing people to anonymously ask their partners what they like, this seems like an okay course of action to allow as well.

Before making a physical object, I highly suggest ASKING your partner if that is something they are okay with. If you would like to ask someone for their mailing address though do NOT ask them anonymously, because they will not be able to know it is you. Let US know that you would be interested in mailing them something, and we will contact them ourselves for you. Again, we will act as an in between. If they say no, then find something else to do. If anyone has issues with this, they will be addressed.

There is no kind of “quality control” as that would be near impossible to police, especially for a first time exchange. If you are unsatisfied with your exchange, the mod will create their own gift for you. If your partner bails in general, the mod will create their own gift for you.
