Tyler's fingers scrambled for his phone, desperate to activate the program that would send the nanobots in his bloodstream into a frenzy and heal the break in his leg and the sear mark on his side. He was sure he had shrapnel in him too, and as he taped at the screen, finding nothing but a dead paperweight made of glass and wires, he immediately regretted playing for the good team for once,
Carefully he laid down, watching from underneath the now shattered car he'd used to try and protect himself from any further explosions after he was caught in the first one. He was done, and all he could do was wait for the other hero to show up and finish what he'd started.
The other hero, god it was strange to think that. He'd gone so soft since he'd found the woman of his dreams. Maybe he should just quit doing anything big like this- no heroics, no villainy, just be a regular guy.
There was movement in the rubble as the current villain terrorising the city started to stir, and if Splice didn't get there soon, they might be able to regain to much strength.
