Does Eric speak a specific regional dialect of German? Or just the standard dialect? Asking for my own curiosity and also bc I noticed the way he says "ich" is more Plattdeutsch/Berlinerisch than Hochdeutsch.

Random Questions for the Mun!

The thing is, he was born in Germany (and even spoke with a tiny bit of a Bavarian dialect back then - my god, I just picture little Eric speaking Bavarian asdflkajsdf), but his parents moved with him to Ireland a few years later, where he had serious trouble learning the language - especially with the Irish accent and slang. Then, at 21, he moved to the US, again speaking only English. He never really ‘settled’ for a specific accent but somewhat carries all of them in one. That’s why I usually write that his accent is a weird mixture.

I have no clue if that actually makes sense, but I just have that gut feeling that Eric would speak that way, seeing how he was living in different parts of the world in the past.

Don't you have some sort of rule against going past two or three threads with your mutuals? Sorry but it seems like you and warrioroflondonbelow have 100 threads which I don't get. Yeah they seem nice but I have stalked through your blog and no offense to them but the quality of your writing seems to surpass theirs by a mile! Besides just a heads up incase you don't know the mun of that blog but they can seem really chatty and annoying. Distance can save you a future headache. Just saying

// It’s Norwegian feel-good food you can eat literally any time of the day. I wouldn’t say it’s pancakes, ‘cause the taste is different (you can also make it with potatoes). We ate it in Norway at a museum/village and later made it at home. The best thing is when you leave it in the fridge and eat it the next day after putting it into the microwave. Just put butter and sugar on it, fold it, and enjoy. Best. Shit. Ever. A lot better than pancakes tbh
