“Where to begin with this log, well. Xanos is a tall bloke, around 7ft and taller, clear draconian lineage. Has the ability to control Ice magic. Have a first hand experience with that when we were not on speaking terms, or well. He was more of a blind lapdog and was trying to hunt me down, had a relative in that fight as well though I managed to handle them both quite well if I do say so myself.”“Getting off track though, Xanos seems to be a man of action, getting to know his opponent, their weaknesses, etc. A man who knows how to use subterfuge to the fullest; plays mind games with people though those haven’t worked on me for so many years. He’s seemed to have come around though.....got me back my twin blades....and also seems to be trying to help me ease into life down here, I don’t want to fight people, let alone him. He’s one of the guard, hell I’M still one of the guard on the inside....the guards like family. I just hope we don’t end up coming to blows at some point.”

An extra entry is scribbled down, titled “How to deal with the ice man.”

“Xanos is a quick opponent, and is tall. Knows how to use both of these effectively against opponents let alone me, if we were to have to fight again...possibly to the death.....I’d have to counter most of his quick strikes with powerful attacks to key body parts, ankles, knees the works to slow him down before either making him see reason again or putting him down, if that fails I’d have to use the....more sacred of shadow magic techniques, deceit, the shadows themselves to push my own mind games, keep him guessing until I can strike true....if all else fails however.........god rest his soul if he pushes me to use........THAT form.......”

📖 + Xanos

Xanos, at first I thought he was someone who could be reliable, loyal and strong-willed. Now actually fighting by his side my opinion on him drastically changed.  Sure he seems to be strong with his attacks, but what point in that strength when he is so weak mentally? He is a fool who forces himself to save those out of the guilt of failing to save others or guilty of the actions he had placed on them. Example, A certain crystal dragon Royal Guard. Along with that, he is just a pest who knows nothing. I told my story to have him back off. Though I also did so to make him feel how little his little drama issues are. Caught up with the death of his people being some sort of trauma. I think death is a blessing rather than being trapped underground for the rest of your lives... potentially.Or perhaps, I’m taking it in a different perspective. Either way, my point is this matter makes him very weak-willed. If you cannot handle the death of those close to you or those you have killed with your own hands, then you bring them disrespect. If you say you are old? Surely the phrase “The older you are the wiser you are” doesn’t apply to him. All I see is a senile old fool who thinks he has the rights to justice and judgment upon others as he becomes some mad beast who cannot control his mental state. That animalistic state when we were fighting Xivian on the stage is a prime example.Speaking of Xivian, I wonder if that old fool remembers what Xivian have said in the elevator. Maybe not if that episode where I had to drag him back to his current state may have made him forget. What was it, making him relive his worse pain. Anyways, If he tries to cast “Judgement” on me. I’ll humor him for a little bit and then I’ll use Xivian’s gift to my advantage.  A fool who only believes fighting is the answer and not plan ahead is doom to fail.  I do not plan on killing him as that will be mercy and he will not learn anything in death. I plan on doing something much worse to him. Let’s see what justice sees in him when that time comes.  I wonder... Will he break? Or will he finally grow as a person?

Name: Xanos

Species: Drakoni

Diet: Omnivore (Perhaps.)

Danger Level: Potentially High

One of my mentors. They’ve taught me many things and I am in their debt. A good friend to train and have. Xanos is a being I’ve never heard before, but from my understanding, the Drakoni are a peaceful race. And if I manage to get access to my old notes again, I will be able to fully explain what they are, but I digress. 

Xanos is an old monster who has fought many battles throughout his years, protecting the innocent. He’s like a war veteran, but unfortunately, suffered through many traumatic experiences that wears his mind. He wields ice magic masterfully from my knowledge and uses an assortment of spells. 

Xanos’ behaviors are generally well-mannered and kind towards normal civilians, however, when faced with a criminal, many problems arise. His biggest problem I have with him is his narrow-mindness, and dogmatic ideology. When combined with the mental disorders that I can’t identify, you’ll have a dangerous concoction on your hands. And it’s arrogant to judge someone under those conditions. He wouldn’t take the time to learn more about the situation and the context since dogma claim moral absolutes and automatically put the person in a higher position to judge. And I’ll say, one should judge themselves before they judge others before they condemn someone. I have assumptions that Xanos had wrongfully accused and hurt or killed people in the past because of this. 

I understand his desire to help and protect people, but as soon as you throw away logic and don’t invest the time to verify your accusations, you’ll become just as bad as the criminal. Also, I didn’t appreciate him trying to force his dogmatic ideas onto me. I operate on logic, and evidence. As a free-thinker, this infuriates me.

16. What’s their idle chatter like? Do they talk a lot (when you arrive on each planet) or do they suddenly say something in some strange places?

[Asriel normally likes to talk about a lot of stuff. He can pretty much go on for hours if someone were to allow him to. He may ask questions, bring up assumptions from what he knows and many other things he could use for idle chatter. Asriel can talk about anywhere he is in... Although, depending if he is being serious or not changes on what he talks about.]

Aislin is a well written and likable character. Despite being a dragon, she is remarkably human. I'm glad to have found her, and so is Xanos.

Im so glad I can make her interesting to catch some eyes. The struggle for me is also trying to make my characters have that one thing to relate to. Background, feelings, actions, something.
