the scent of noodles

One of the few times before the Young Avengers ceased to exist as a team, Tommy managed to drag the entire bunch to this noodle restaurant on the far side of Brooklyn. It was this tiny, hole-in-the-wall place with a flickering neon sign in the window and fading wallpaper, but Tommy swore he'd never had better.

It took him an hour to get Billy to just try the damn noodles, and by then his soup was cold, but what Billy remembers most is that they were all together. Laughing. Joking.

Teddy laughed so hard a noodle shot out of his nose.
