HO' BOY Its a lot hehe
How Eric and Nikki met:
One of Eric's main past times was growing and smoking weed. He sold mostly that (and ordered in the dark web other requests) for about five years and became a trusted dealer albeit socially awkward. Nikki was brought over there by an ex who was a long time customer. Upon first meeting him, she thought he was hot and interesting in mannerisms and looks. Events happened and they sorta made a freaky deal. Had a two week experimental fling, nothing that serious, and then Nikki ghosted him at the supposed end. He was a bit confused by it but he wasn't gonna chase. She stopped seeing him because she met Andre one night, but their lives would intertwine once more cause of plot, lol.
How Nikki met Andre:
Nikki had started singing at a club part time. Andre just got out of jail for beating up someone badly he thought his then gf (got dumped after) was with. He was trying to figure out what job he could work and get paid a lot immediately (and legally for his dad's sake). At the same time, it was hard for him to accept his ex and him were officially done.
Weeks go by, it was the club's grand opening and Andre and his friends attended. It was love at first sight when he saw Nikki descend down a moon prop on stage and sing. He gave up trying to do things the Right way after watching her. He was going to do whatever it takes to get rich, so he could have something to impress Nikki with.
In the mean time, he sent huge bouquets of flowers and anonymous notes every night at her singing gig. She finally asked for her admirer to reveal themselves, and Andre stepped forward after the show. They went out all night, hitting it off instantly.
How Eric and Andre met:
This was after Eric and Nikki were talking and in between Nikki and Andre together. Also, Nikki and Eric decided to keep their a secret from Andre because it was unpredictable what Andre would do. He hated Eric as a person.
One day, Andre was at a convenience store trying his luck with a scratch off. He wished Nikki and him could live off of it (he's a huge romantic). Eric came in the store and stared at him for a moment. He then bumped and stole his scratch off. Andre chased him down for it which Eric quickly gave back.
When Andre recounted the story to one of his friends, they knew who Eric was based on description and told him he was a dealer that really just grew weed cause he liked to. Not very interested in money. That gave Andre the brilliant idea of managing Eric's dealings for a good sized cut by bringing in runners and marketing.
Etc.,Etc.
The story is based on a world where there's humans and overseas from them is a country for witches and another for demons. They all live in the same realm, have different customs and ambassadors to keep the peace. Andre and Nikki are half-demons that live in a city in the human region.
Eric's uncle Jeremy found him after a decade of hiding. Andre saw how Nikki's family mistreated her and later told her that it wasn't okay. Nikki's mom set up an arranged marriage that Nikki held off from telling anyone until the last second. Eric was also revisiting past trauma when his family reunited with him.
Uh, a lot more stuff happens, Andre went through another heartbreak and turned bitter while Eric fell in love and became softer. There would be a shotgun wedding, an intense legal battle, most likely a couple physical battles.
Thinking of the timeline, I'd say a LONG time for the three to understand Nikki's feelings (2years?) and a longer time for the guys to get along, lol. Thanks for the ask !! ^__^
Hiiii I have a question about leaving comments on art!!! I LOVE doing that, because I really enjoy making people smile and encouraging them to make more art/writing, but sometimes I worry that if I do it too much it’ll make me come across as creepy or annoying. Also, is there etiquette on commenting on an old piece of art someone made? Like, a year ago or more. Is it weird to leave a comment on that? I’m not asking to be disrespectful, I do genuinely want to know the best way to engage with art without being annoying!!!!! :)
Hello! Thank you for this question! It reminded me of how open this whole thing is. When we choose to comment on a work that really moved us, it can be a vulnerable moment if it's past 'whoa this looks cool!'. You are showing a bit of your heart and in the social climate we are in now, I see what you mean about looking creepy/annoying. But whatever! I'm not ashamed to show my appreciation for media I adored and I can see you aren't either, silly-tails-prower :)
I've seen announcements before by shy artists admitting they're too anxious to reply to comments but appreciate it nonetheless. Or, shy commenters stumble to say how much they love a work.
With that in mind, I personally don't believe there's an expiration date to commenting on things that an artist (or writer!) created years ago. If it moved you now, it has continued to do its purpose and that is to be experienced. Worst case scenario, the creator may not reply but at least when you look back you'll see your appreciation for it. Further appreciation can be shown sharing it with an endorsement and also tips/donations/buying merch if possible, of course.
I'd also say to check their bio and other links they may direct in how to interact with them. I notice some instagram artists ask for no spam liking because it bogs down their notifications :-)
