do you think that if Izaya hadn't met Shinra he wouldn't be so evil?

hmmm. hmmmmm. well, the string of events, as i understand, are:

izaya being withdrawn/solitary in middle school

izaya meeting shinra, becoming jealous of his detachment

biology club turned gambling ring

nakura stabbing shinra, izaya taking blame, saying he’ll make nakura pay

and today’s izaya is born

so if we go all the way back to 2, i do think that there could be a good chance that izaya didn’t turn out the way he did because it was meeting shinra that prompted his jealousy to arise. there is the possibility that he met someone else, but i think very few people have the same detachment that shinra has… not everyone has a dullahan girlfriend hahah

it would be really interesting how izaya turned out if he never met shinra, but yeah my opinion is that he’d probably be different
