Being back on tumblr feels like both a success and a failure.

Once upon a time I was the following: thehornedwitch, asleepywitch. Now I'm not! Now I'm thestorywitch. And a little bit the DameofNowhere, and sometimes DameNobody or DameFrostyface.

Sort-of missed y'all, I write poetry now. Will be making posts to that effect... some time?

Every time I go to your blog for re-fuelling of my rage tank i end up twenty pages deep and ranting at my computer right with you at the terrible people. Your blog is addicting. Help. Its 4:43 AM and i am trying to grasp a story that i dreamt that keeps escaping. It was spine chilling, i think, but dreams are fickle.

ahhh it’s so frustrating when tht happens! i always try to piece together as much as i can but it fades while i’m focusing on holding other aspects in my head

Cast List

Kiran: One of Calista’s potential love interests. He’s fun and mischevious. But don’t let that fool you. He has a serious side, and an affiliation with a secret organization. The two seem to go hand in hand, don’t you think? Kiran’s voice will be played by @falcomoo.

Maddox: Kiran’s best friend since childhood. The two would do anything for each other. Maddox can kick ass, but she knows who’s part of her pack. Once you’re on her side, she’ll be eternally loyal, unless...well, you’ll see ;D Maddox will be played by SkyeBlue.

Loretta: She’s an older woman, set in her ways. Despite raising Calista, she’ll never admit that the girl is more than just a clanless orphan. She’s being played by @asleepywitch.

Assassin: Well, his title gives it away don’t you think? ;D This role is also being played by @falcomoo.

Balder: The pureblood son of King Rory. He’s in an internal struggle between what he wants and what he thinks is best for the kingdom. Does tradition lead to power, or does Vestis need a little progressive thinking? Balder is being played by: @seanrogersvoices. 

Elderly Merchant: Someone Calista meets during her journey. She is being played by @doushinjishetaliaespanol7w7. 

Sir Taylor: The King’s royal advisor. Pretentious and full of himself. He’s got a position of power and he’ll let you know a million times why that makes him better than you. Played by @ironbar36.

What's the videogame you're playing that's got fairies in? Sorry to pry, but I love things that've got fairies and now i'm curious.

It’s called Kingdoms of Amalur, and it’s wonderful! The Fae are so well thought-of. And it seems like they take heavily from Irish Lore (the villains are like “Tuatha Deohn” which seems to get its name’s structure from “Tuatha Dé Danann”...before I put on subtitled I thought the game was pronouncing “Dé Danann” wrong lol), which is super neat. And the way they explain Irish Fae’s seemingly immortality even when dying is addressed, and honestly it’s probably something I’m going to adopt because it makes SO MUCH SENSE.

Here’s the wiki on it:

“All the Fae believe in the Great Cycle. It is through this cycle that Fae are unlike the mortal races. When a Fae dies, their essence is recycled via unknown means, and reborn again into the world. While it is unclear if they retain their memories after this cycle begins again, many Summer Fae take on the Tellings of previous incarnations such as Sir Sagrell or King Wencen.”

It’s super fascinating! I love it :D
