I completed this Deaf History-themed design earlier today. In case if y'all are curious, this is a reference to a 1988 protest at Gallaudet University. I learned about it when I started taking my first sign language class almost two years ago. I decided to make this for two reasons. First, to remember the anniversary of Deaf President Now. Second, I’ve noticed some people wearing shirts that have presidential election dates on them, and I wanted to do something similar to that with an event that not a lot of people are familiar with.
