Hello everyone. I've been asked to create a post by Asmaa (@asmaamajed2) to share her story with you.
Asmaa and her family of 10 are currently displaced in a tent. With winter fast approaching, they need supplies to shield them from the cold and the heavy rain. These supplies are expensive and hard to come by. Given that the lack of food means that Asmaa and her family are spending most of their money of food, they do not have enough funds to buy supplies for the winter! Moreover, the tents offer no good protection, and they have recently been damaged by sharpnel from Israeli missiles! Imagine how cold they must be, sleeping in a damaged tent full of holes, with water dripping on their sleeping bodies and the cold wind blowing in!
Asmaa is only 19 years old, but now the responsibility of obtaining life-saving funds for her family has fallen onto her shoulders. Her father has lost his source of income due to the genocide, and now they have been without income for a year! The only way they can get the money they need to buy daily necessities is through this gofundme campaign. However, with the lack of Internet access and the unreliable connection (she only gets one to two hours of Internet a day!), it is very difficult for Asmaa to obtain the money she needs to protect her family.
