Ok i have. really needed to get this off my chest. If you don't want to read a grammatically questionable, probably nonsensical rant about asmodeus's birthday card, then you can keep scrolling.

Okay so, I am a huge Asmodeus fan. He's my favorite character in Obey Me. And obviously there's the whole thing about him not getting an event or new card and that was really disappointing. But I am, in fact, not just adding to the list of posts about that. I, instead, want to ramble a bit about his birthday card.

(I'm also going to preface this by saying that I like the art of the card! I appreciate the work put into it! And a lot of people are going to LOVE this card! But I have been itching to rant about this card so I'm going to. You do you :))

This one. It's not bad, per say, I just very strongly dislike it. It feels so. Not Asmodeus?? For multiple reasons:

His build. I am a firm believer in no-abs Asmodeus. Comparing himself to Beel, he describes himself as having a leaner build. And sure, he isn't without muscle. But still. The muscle is very prominent in the card, and it just. Doesn't feel like Asmodeus! One of the reasons I like him is because he's leaner! This card isn't the only offender, either. I don't know, it just feels sort of off.

He's a lot more masculine than he's usually presented as. A lot broader, his face is pretty feminine but it just has a sort of masculine vibe to it?? I know this one doesn't really make much sense. And obviously, he's a man. He's going to be masculine. I also think it's in part because of the style the card is in, since I usually picture him as a bit more cartoony/anime-esque versu this more realistic take. I just dislike it.

The textures. Asmo is usually a lot sharper, and I think it suits his character more since it's very "look at me". His clothes are also usually brighter, sharper, more eye-catching. This whole cards sort of seems just... smooth. Round. Like they cut of the edges of everything.

Um that's about it. Sorry that this isn't my usual content nor does it make all that much sense. I just needed to get this off my chest. Thanks for reading?
