1. Stephanie

Stephanie’s picture is divine! She nailed the starlet/actress part of the brief, but also brought a fantasy/whimsical element to this; she’s like a lost princess from another time wandering the streets. The subtle motion of her gliding down the steps is amazing and I love the dainty way she’s holding the fabric of the dress. Her face is absolutely breathtaking too, she really tapped into her emotions and looks so sorrowful, dreamy, and ethereal. I was cool with Stephanie making it into the finale on the back of this photo, but it was wildly shocking that she made it there based on how she was judged all season long. The judges saddled her with five bottom 2 appearances and no FCOs (and zero challenge wins on top of that); it just made her seem like an afterthought, and if her season-long performance was judged less harshly her finale spot would’ve made more sense.

2. Kate

It’s easy to see how Kate got best photo at panel, this is one of her finest shots to date! Her face photographed flawlessly and her commanding stare into the distance is so powerful. The body shape she created is marvelous, I love her gracefully extended arms and the arch of her back. She made the dress look so amazing and I like how she worked her surroundings by leaning off of the signpost. It would be right at home in a fashion spread! Kate really excelled in the last two shoots and sailed into the finale at the top of her photographic game!

3. Jessica

Jessica’s photo is a unposed captured moment in time and it’s one of the most unique shots of the week! I think her legs could be farther apart, but she was still able to sell the illusion that she’s briskly striding through the streets with a purpose, and the gown looks fantastic in motion as well. Her face is gorgeous too, I love how she’s almost breathless yet still calm and determined at the same time which meshes perfectly with what she did with her body. Jessica was the most obvious choice for a finale spot, she added yet another strong photo to her excellent portfolio and won this week’s go-sees challenge on top of that.

4. Sofia

Sofia may be at the bottom but this is still a stellar photo! Her pose is in a similar vein to her photo from last week, the fluid motion is wonderful and she modeled the dress very well. The hand holding the clutch is awkward, but I love her side lean and the elegantly trailing arm. Her face could be stronger though. She appears beautifully haughty in the wide, but in the close-up she’s too drowsy and a bit cross-eyed. I would’ve loved to have seen Sofia in the finale and based on her track record I’d probably give her a spot, but I totally get why she was let go this week since she had the weakest shot and failed to book any go-sees. I was still sad to see her leave though!
