Any Amunet headcanons? 👀

ALWAYS SHE'S MY LOVE MY LIFE

she's got humans, but she prefers spending most of her time in the Junkyard! mostly because she wants to be near her sister, mates, and children, but also because she's pretty indifferent to humans, and prefers the company of her fellow cats

Amunet does have magic, though it's more subdued, and has to do with emotions. She's affected by the emotions of those around her, which is one of the reasons she's quite a secluded cat. She loves her fellow Jellicles, but it's hard when emotions run high and she has to step away for a bit (yes this is me rationalizing why she's missing from like 67% of cats 1998)

she loves getting to tell Cassandra stories about Egypt. Cass barely remembers her time there, but since Amunet was taken from Egypt at a slightly older age, she has lots of memories to share with her sister

Because her magic focuses on emotions, she was one of the only cats that Demeter and Bombalurina approached after they returned to the Jellicles. Amunet didn't ask why they left or how they were doing, she knew, and she was perfectly content to just sit with the queens and let them have a quiet moment.

even though she's a bit more subdued, to her children, sister, and mates, Amunet has one of the BEST sense of humor. she tells jokes that have the kittens shrieking and giggling, and can make both her mates blush if she whispers something specific in their ears.

Amunet is also a very cuddly cat, at least with the cats she's closest to. Her kittens always know that they can go to her for a hug or just a quick nuzzle, Jellylorum and her are always holding paws, Asparagus wraps his arms around her waist whenever they're with each other, and Amunet and Cass just lean against each other when they want to chat.

i firmly believe that the Jellicles believe in fate/destiny when it comes to mates meeting one another, and Asparagus, Jellylorum, and Amunet's relationship and family is one of those pieces of proof

the way that everything just fell into place for the three of them when they met each other, how everything was just a little too perfect, but they never questioned it

based off of the creative challenge post that my lovely bestie @storyweaverofgondor made!!!

When Alonzo brought Tumblebrutus and Pouncival to the Junkyard, Tantomile wasn't sure what to think.

She was happy for Alonzo, of course, as she had overheard his heartbroken, quiet conversation with Cassandra and Amunet in the evenings, talking about his brothers. With her magic beginning to manifest more and more, Tantomile could feel the emotional turmoil that filled the harlequin tom, and she wanted nothing more than for his family to be complete once more

Coricopat was excited about having two brothers, especially when he realized that Pouncival thought their magic was the coolest thing in the entire world.

Tumblebrutus was quiet, rarely leaving his oldest brother’s side, or remaining inside the den. Tantomile never saw him speaking with anyone who wasn’t his brothers, Jellylorum, Asparagus, or Amunet, and Tantomile personally made it her mission to get her new brother out of his shell.

It was easy for Tantomile to spend time around Tumblebrutus. His quiet, somber demeanor was calming to her, especially as she and Coricopat grew into their abilities.

While Pouncival and Coricopat got along like a house on fire, Tantomile and Tumblebrutus’ relationship grew slowly, but there was no doubt in their parents’ mind that they were becoming as thick as thieves as time went on. The growing relationship was made even more obvious as Tumblebrutus began to acknowledge Tantomile’s comforting presence with a small, shy smile every time she stood or sat by his side.

Tumblebrutus’ favorite spot in the main stage area was against the oven, as the spot was hidden enough that he could tuck himself into the shadows, but he could also look out and observe everything.

Tantomile joined him one afternoon, curling up against an old ladder.

"Hello." She said softly.

Tumblebrutus’ eyes brightened upon seeing her. “Hi.”

Tantomile felt the shift in emotion, and gave him a look. “Good day?”

The patched tom’s small nod made Tantomile’s heart soar. A few days after meeting, Tantomile had begun asking if Tumblebrutus was having a “good day” or a “bad day”, meaning if he was feeling relaxed, or as though he was back on the streets. She would adjust her interactions with him accordingly, and a good day always made her happy.

The kittens sat in content silence for a few minutes, watching the Jellicles around them.

“I think Alonzo is getting up the courage to as Auntie Cass to be his mate.” Tantomile commented softly, making Tumblebrutus’ head whip towards her.

“You think?”

Tantomile nodded with a secret smile. “Have you seen him around her?”

The young tom looked across the main stage area, where he saw his older brother chatting animatedly with Munkustrap, and he bit back an amused sound. “Everlasting, you’re right.” Tumblebrutus paused for a moment before lowering his voice and flopping down dramatically. “Oh Cassandra, you’re so beautiful and talented.”

Tantomile giggled, stretching out to imitate her aloof auntie. “Alonzo, darling, you are too kind to me.”

“It is nothing you do not deserve!” Tumblebrutus crowed, pressing a paw to his heart and batting his eyes.

“What are you two doing?”

Alonzo’s voice made the two kittens immediately sit up straight, looking at the older tom with nothing but innocence in their eyes.

“Nothing!” Tumblebrutus said, which Alonzo responded to with a Look that informed the two that he did not, in fact, believe that they were innocent little kittens.

Cassandra approached the trio, pecking Alonzo’s cheek softly. The tom beamed at her appearance, and wrapped his arm around her waist. “Afternoon, my love.”

“Alonzo, darling.” The Abyssinian greeted. Her partner whispered something in the queen’s ear, making her huff softly with an adoring smile and bat his shoulder. “You’re too kind.”

Tumblebrutus and Tantomile glanced at one another at their relatives’ words, and promptly burst into laughter, Tumblebrutus falling to his side to lean into Tantomile as they both clutched their stomachs.

Cassandra raised an eyebrow at the two kittens. “What are you menaces laughing at?”

Every time their laughter began to dwindle, Tumblebrutus and Tantomile would meet each other’s eyes, and fall apart giggling again.

Alonzo didn’t say anything, simply gripped Cassandra’s paw tightly as he stared at his younger brother. Cassandra glanced back at him, and saw his eyes shining with unshed tears, and the largest, happiest smile on his face.

“He’s laughing.” The harlequin tom whispered. Cassandra’s heart warmed, and she stepped closer to Alonzo, wrapping her arm around his as they watched the kittens continue to laugh.

After that day, Tumblebrutus began to express himself more. He played pranks on Alonzo with Pouncival, he and Coricopat talked animatedly about anything and everything, and he adored cuddling up with any three of his parents near the end of the day.

But Tantomile was the only cat who could make him laugh so hard he fell over, she was one of the only ones who understood his Bad Days, who understood that sometimes he just needed quiet.

Tumblebrutus decided, after that day, that having a sister was the best part about moving to the Junkyard, and Tantomile decided that she liked having three brothers.

okay here are some rough hcs because i'm still thinking about them:

They start spending more time with each other once Tumblebrutus and Pouncival are brought to the Junkyard, mainly because Alonzo and Cassandra are together, so a lot of their family outings are just all of them.

Amunet starts bringing Coricopat and Tantomile to Jellylorum and Asparagu's den for playdates, which eventually turn into the kittens having playdates and the three of them having actual dates.

Cassandra and Alonzo HAPPILY babysit while the trio goes off together for a night at Bustopher's club.

They cuddle SO MUCH

Like, if they're near each other, they will end up cuddling, whether it's holding paws, arms around each other, or just snuggling.

Amunet is a little nervous about Asparagus and Jellylorum's reaction to her magic, but they love it because it's part of her, and that just makes her absolutely melt.

Asparagus is SO protective of his family. As soon as it's official that he, Jellylorum, and Amunet are together, he basically goes full Protective Dad over Coricopat and Tantomile.

Amunet is the quietest of the trio, and doesn't usually express her affection verbally. I hc that her magic revolves around feelings and the more mystical side of things, like her kids, so whenever she really wants Asparagus and Jellylorum to know how much she loves them, she just sends them her feelings.

The two sets of twins absolutely adore their parents so so much. Baby kitten Pounci and Cori love being carried by their moms, and Tantomile is 100% a daddy's girl, so she and Tumblebrutus spend so much of their time with Asparagus, either sitting and listening to his stories, or just cuddling with him.

Amunet! she loves the feeling of being surrounded by the cats she loves, so Asparagus and Jellylorum just smoosh her between them whenever they're all together!

Asparagus and Jellylorum were together first, and when Amunet arrived at the Junkyard with Cassandra, they opened their den to her as a place where she could have her kittens safely and comfortably, and after a little while, all three began to develop feelings for each other!

5. Who do people usually think is the third wheel?

Asparagus, as Jellylorum and Amunet are very physically affectionate with each other around the other Jellicles, and he's not as PDA-inclined

7. Who has been banned from choosing the movie because they have notoriously bad taste?

Jellylorum, she choses all the sad movies and Par and Amunet don't want to spend their movie night crying

8. Who’s the biggest drama queen?

Asparagus, of course 😅

Jellylorum, because she can and will bake mountains of sweets and pastries if not under supervision.
