This rescue kitten used to pop off at me ON SIGHT, but now I only get attitude when I have to put him to bed for the evening.😾🥰 He LOVES other cats and is great with the litter box. Coconut 🐱 has been playing hard to get for these past two weeks since we’ve brought him home from an #aspcanyc #catadoption event. Banjo 🐶 is very lovey and has been in his feels because Coconut hasn’t fully committed to their brotherly relationship yet. However, last night Desi reprimanded Banjo and Coconut stood in front of his crate like some guard cat. It was cute and definitely a turning corner. Regrann from @littlewanderersnyc - Happy Caturday morning! We were up bright and early this morning meeting the ASPCA transport van at the Bronx Zoo with no less than 10 cats for spay/neuter. Today’s effort will avert over 300 births in the next nine months. Think about that. Work hard to make a difference. Life rewards effort. Regrann from @littlewanderersnyc - Family, Over 75 kittens, mostly bottle babies, were brought into New York City’s Animal Care and Control on May 26th. If you can bottle feed, DM us right away. It is a high kill shelter. You may think you are helping, but now every cage is full, so sick cats, daily intake, and older cats get euthanized Here’s a word of caution. Please listen-up. The ASPCA of New York and SPCA of California request that if you see kittens without a mom, DO NOT TAKE THEM. Mom is usually out of sight and close by. Kittens always have a better chance of survival with their mothers. For example; the kittens in these photos were found under lawn furniture in Queens NY and the family wanted to “clean up and have a bbq.” So the kittens unfortunately were not left with mom and relinquished to the ASPCA neo-natal nursery. We would have preferred that the kittens were placed in a box on the property-mom would have found them. However, the property owners did not want that. Now they are orphans but in a good place with the ASPCA. We will go back to TNR the poor moms.
