featuring: olive westchester @aspenaltitude location: the farmer's market
as usual, the westchester stand is brimming with colorful veggies and perfectly ripe fruits, an array of beautiful food that is endlessly tempting despite jasmine's lack of skill in the kitchen. "what would you say is a must get?" while jasmine might be working on cultivating her own green-thumb, the most she'd managed so far was a couple of tomatoes and herbs, and a zucchini plant that had flourished beyond what she knew what to do with ( needless to say, her neighbors had gotten sick of her bringing around extra squash that she didn't want to squander. ) but it wasn't enough to sustain, and truly - jasmine loved being able to frequent the market for foods she could bring home or bring with her for the weekly family dinners her moms cooked up, enjoying being able to give back to them - even if she wasn't nearly as skilled a chef. knowing olive, she would have the perfect insider recommendations, "those peaches look delicious - as do the carrots. but are there any hidden gems of veggies that are particularly good this harvest?"
