In some places, if he blurred the lines between all the advanced technology that laid around the area, he could almost pretend he was back in the Heartwood checking in on Lian. The tree was large, just like the one in Grandtree Arena where Lord Kleavor sat...but this one was different.
Maybe it was just his mind scrambling to grasp at something familiar after being flung to another world again. A quiet fear of forgetting all over again, gnawing at the back of his mind.
Ah. But it seemed his Gligar picked up on the fact he was drifting, ramming into his side gently as it glided alongside him on their walk.
“Apologies, Gligar. We should be arriving at our destination soon.”
Where that was, he wasn’t entirely sure. But they had been walking long enough to warrant a small break...and certainly, his Pokémon would be looking for a snack around now. Hopefully what he bought at the markets in this area would serve as a decent substitute for his partner’s preferred treat.
Or maybe it’d have to wait a little longer. A familiar barking noise pulled his attention immediately, the sound stirring something in the back of his mind but...the young man and the Pokémon(?) he was with didn’t put together any pieces. But it looked like they were training, a difficult task to do alone. Maybe...
“Pardon the interruption!” He found himself calling, before he fully processed it, walking right over to where the other way. “But surely training your Pokémon without anything to train against can’t be easy. Would you like some assistance?”
