i cant help but feel bad for the 15 year olds that come screaming to me about how evil "social justice warriors" are bc at the time, i was almost indoctrinated into the self proclaimed "egalitarian" side of tumblr. its pretty goddamn scary when you realize that if you dont kiss the asses of your oppressors and call yourself an egalitarian, youre an evil sjw that needs to shut the fuck up and die because you dont believe in *~real equality~*. i was so terrified of wanting to express myself as a trans person out of fear of being called a social justice warrior, since those who have the label unwillingly slapped on them are often targets of harrassment. not only are young teenagers taught by the anti "sjw"/anti feminism crowd to hold in and bottle up any anger for the people that hurt them, but they're taught to have such little compassion. dont like it when someone belittles you for being a minority? youre just a pussy social justice warrior. using fictional characters as a coping mechanism? youre a cringeworthy special snowflake that nobody loves. you express your gender identity in unconventional ways? nope, youre just a transtrender special snowflake. for a group that insists its all about equality, it sure does have a tendency to beat you down for being different. the fact that theyre encouraging young kids on this website to be hateful and rude to minorities for being different is absolutely *horrifying*.
