There's a joke In discworld the assassins guild presents itself as an upstanding institution with noble clientele, and also wants to distance the actual act of murder from the act of being the implement of that murder, so they prefer to not use crass words like "kill" and instead say "inhume" (which is the opposite of "exhume")

Okay I don't know why but I've had this random thought swimming around in my head for awhile and I wanna know your thoughts on it:

Jonathan Teatime from Hogfather, The Corinthian from The Sandman and Moriarty from Sherlock would totally be friends!

During the meeting with the guilds, the head assassin looks into Wonse's eyes and sees someone who wants to die.

As I mentioned earlier with the priest of Blind Io, we don't actually know who the head assassin is. The continuity hasn't quite kicked in yet, so all of the city counselors are generic. Having said that, I don't see any reason why he is not Dr. Cruces, who makes his first official appearance in Men at Arms.
