Police Take Over Edo State Assembly Complex

Police have reportedly taken over the Edo State assembly complex this morning, barely 24 hours after former deputy speaker, Yekini Idaiye, was impeached.

The police, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, and plain clothes security men took over the house of assembly complex while the governor was physically present.   Governor Godwin Obaseki said the complex had been closed down.
