When we were looking at places to live, a bigger kitchen with a walk-in pantry was one of my musts. While my last place had a relatively large kitchen, the cabinet space was less to be desired and we ended up just storing most of our bulk and pantry items in and on a storage bucket.
Sadly, given the expedited timeframe of our housing search (one week) and the fact that there were so few rentals available in the area we were looking, we had to settle with a much smaller kitchen. After mourning the loss of the dream of having more storage space, I started looking into organizing solutions and that’s where this storage cabinet comes into play.
The cabinet was far more expensive than I wanted to spend, but I also wasn’t interested in living out of a bucket or boxes again - even for just a year. This is something I wish we purchased four years ago, so might as well bite the bullet now. The night we moved in (April 5th) I placed the order for the cabinet assuming a two-day delivery like most things but was frustrated to see a 15-23 day delivery window. Still, a solution was coming and that’s all I could ask for. Extra frustrated now typing this post because I see the cabinet is now advertised as $100 less than what I paid and ships in 2-3 days. Cool cool cool.
The massively heavy package was finally delivered this past Sunday night and Monday, yesterday, Kevin and I spent erp’s second nap window putting it together. The instructions were super clear and informative and the pieces were well labeled and well constructed. While it took a good two hours of assembly from start to finish, it was one of the least frustrating assembly experiences we’ve ever had. Success!
So pleased with the quality and result and that I no longer have to dig through boxes to find what I need. It’s such a happier space now and I’m excited for a much less cluttered kitchen experience. Let all the cooking begin!
